Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Game Day
Not a lot of commentary about him, but kudos to Cotric too. He has been a different player these last two games. Very happy with him and hope he only gets better with more time on the pitch.

Re: Weekes
Praised him after the manly game. He was very good. Said he needed to back it up and he did, better than I thought he would. Had a great game. Now, he needs to do it against the Roosters.
Hypothetically, he absolutely smashes it till round 20, what then for Fog and Weekes?

Re: The new Laurie Daley
Did anyone else have their heart in their mouth after he got up clutching at his leg right before the first try? I was hoping nothing happened and then saw him in the huddle and was extremely relieved. Then proceeded to have a blinder. Have to say, our halves had a great game!

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Game Day
When Cotric almost scored in the corner, I missed the restart of play, but I swear it was a 20m tap given I saw Zero tackle on the screen. I must be losing it - could’ve sworn Cotric went in touch while still touching the ball and before knocking it on. Which can’t be a 20m restart. Was at the grou...

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Game Day
On a side note, how does Reed Mahoney consistently get away with leaving the defence line so early and flopping on tackles so late? He got bumped off by someone yesterday and then made one of the latest jump on flops I’ve seen. The refs definitely need him on their tip sheet for his in game boundar...

Re: Trey Mooney inks big extension with Raiders
He was fantastic last night. Three hit ups in one set. He was hungry and was bumping off players. I know he needs time and he’s building towards it cause I wasn’t overly convinced when first seeing him, but he’s slowly coming very good. I like the way that Ricky has done it too. Hasn’t thrown him in...

On a further note, I think the officiating was absolutely horrendous. Klein really mucked that up. His calls against us weren’t wrong or too out of line, it was the sheer fact that he wasn’t consistent and let things go for them but penalised us for the same things. EDIT Disgraceful.

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Game Day
Shout out to Weekes as well. He was fantastic. I said after the manly game he showed some unbelievable traits to win us that game and if he could back it up, he could be a very good 7. He did that again last night. He controlled the game exactly like a half should and he also has an explosive runnin...

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Game Day
People saying we should move on from Rapa based on his game tonight have rocks in their head. He was one of our best tonight. Was also one of our worst hahaha but he had a fantastic game. His discipline and over playing his hand just got us caught. Great carries are evident in over 200m. Perfect def...

What a win! That’s a great victory!
So many positives. Obviously a messy game but a lot of them forced by our rushing defence.

Re: Trey Mooney inks big extension with Raiders
I reckon our current (fit) team could almost compete with 2016 for attack if you added peak Hodgo at 9. I’d love to see Savage, Strange, Timoko and Kris in space as a regular part of our attack. 10000%. Exactly what I’m thinking and trying to articulate. Add Api or Grant to our team and it’s chalk ...

Re: Trey Mooney inks big extension with Raiders
1 and 6 are not much harder than Hodgo. CNK and Jack. Williams was the best halfback but didn’t play enough. I’d have Sezer and Fog about the same. Pretty much spot on. Point is, our attack was amazing when we had a good 9 and the rest of the spine (being some of my fav players in CNK and Williams)...

Re: Trey Mooney inks big extension with Raiders
Was gonna post in Ricky extension thread but it’s actually being spoken about here.
I think one thing we need to remind ourselves is, since Ricky took over, who has been our best:
1
6
7
9
9 is easy. That’s Hodgo by a country mile. But keen to see what people think about the 1, 6 and 7.

2015 - 3rd in attack 2016 - 1st in attack 2017 - 3rd in attack 2018 - 2nd in attack It’s amazing we only made the finals once in this period despite having such “good” attack, or at least, good points totals Those were the days when we thought defence was the white picket thing lining the pathway t...

Re: Trey Mooney inks big extension with Raiders
There’s one glaring reason we suck in attack within 20m and it’s because of… 9. ? It all starts here and this is the biggest issue at the club right now. So why did it suck when we had Hodgson too? I very clearly remember many posters bemoaning all the crash balls Hodgson used to throw and at the t...

Good news. He’s going to need a bit of time but I think he has it in him to become a really good prop. Needs more developing and happy to lock him up.
I have a feeling he will be starting this week with Taps.

Once uncle Nick dies I expect the Roosters to fall off a cliff. Robinson isn't what he is made out to be. With the squads and resources he has had he should have done a lot more.
