When Cotric almost scored in the corner, I missed the restart of play, but I swear it was a 20m tap given I saw Zero tackle on the screen. I must be losing it - could’ve sworn Cotric went in touch while still touching the ball and before knocking it on. Which can’t be a 20m restart. Was at the grou...

He was fantastic last night. Three hit ups in one set. He was hungry and was bumping off players. I know he needs time and he’s building towards it cause I wasn’t overly convinced when first seeing him, but he’s slowly coming very good. I like the way that Ricky has done it too. Been following this team for awhile, since the late 80s. Been watching this game for a long time. Laurie Daley is my all time favourite player. Can run, great defender, ball play and is a leader. Much better than other 5/8s at the time who were captains for the state and Australia. I think I've see...

Woolford at #9 to me is a lot like Savage at #1, it seemed all was going reasonably well without being perfect, and then the pin was just pulled I don't understand it but oh well Spot on. Looking at that list, I still think we've recruited just as well as any of them. Our results prove as much. That list of teams has won 8 premierships between them in the last 10 years. Eels made a GF and Dolphins have only had one full season. I don’t think our results prove we’re just as good. Oof...

Bulldogs are gonna be a big test next week. Our crash balls aren't going to trouble them too much I have to say. Their defence is pretty impressive. Will need to be able to get some rolls on mid field and hope this can free up Timoko, Kris, Savage, Strange and Weekes to do some damage. Rapana back ...

Re: Ethan Sanders signs three year deal with Canberra Raiders

I guess the question for me for any young spine player is whether they'll be superstar, which I'd broadly describe as a top ten player of the game. I'm of the view that a team can and will be a huge premiership force, with 2-4 superstars and the rest more or less honest hard working, solid players....

Jack could roll a grubber past the dead ball line from halfway. He just isn’t a finesse player. It was noticeable when Starling and Mooney came on how our defensive line compressed and our line speed improved. Weird game. Didn't look like Manly wanted to win it in the second half. Chevy back to cup would be my go. Without Fog there is a need for some experience in that spine.

There's a very good chance Chevy gets another crack at FG with a Rapana injury or suspension in a month or two anyway, given age and playing style.

That would have been magic. I was there in late 1991 when Mal scored late and kicked the winner from the sideline to keep us in the top 5. Too many other times at Brookvale were very painful. Was that the one at home vs Doggies when Mal reminded reporters after the match, "It's an 80 minute ga...
