The number of times Johnston ran ahead of the inside play tonight was nuts. 4-5 times in the second half he ran himself out of the play when something was on.
Far from the worst thing Souths did tonight but he's a guy you can usually rely on to nail that stuff.

If Cook was 10-15% better in defense he's a first grade half. That might just come from being in the Raiders' system, which is more competitive than where he was in QLD, and increasing that fitness. I'd love to keep him around the club to fulfill that Frawley style role.

On current form Trai Fuller would be good competition and it's not a signing that tells Chevy his path is blocked. 28 next year so he's got a lot of experience playing against men (but not as much as you'd expect for 28).
