Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
An internal draft would cover movement of players already in the NRL top 30 players. Or you could include players on supplementary lists. It’s for established players. An external draft would cover those who are playing junior football, who have not entered the NRL squads. Ok, thanks. I can't see t...

Re: Ethan Sanders signs three year deal with Canberra Raiders
If Bluesbrother, who's mates with Ricky, thinks Talagi is a better talent than Chevy, he's may not be basing that on a couple of games and may have watched both for a while. He might be wrong, he might be right. Talagi certainly showed a lot of skill tonight. Let's reassess where they're both at in...

Re: Canberra Raiders back NRL call to eliminate disrespect towards match officials
I have absolutely no scientific data for this claim, but I'm sure tests would reveal a strong correlation between people with low IQ and people who excessively criticise/concentrate on referees. I think you're probably right. Seems to be my general experience with people I know. Disagree - he isn’t...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Can someone explain what exactly a 'multi-sport dome' is? What sports would it accommodate? Is it for basketball to replace AIS Arena? It's essentially a low cost indoor training facility that uses a pressurized inflatable roof. You can use it for track or even grass field sports. Being a dome it d...

Some people suggesting a multi sports dome is for basketball, others saying soccer…. It’s getting confusing. Can we just agree what single sport a multi sports dome is built for!

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
Drafts are almost exclusively a North American thing. Their obsession with college sports as a pathway to the pros enables it. The minimum wage of players in those sports are akin to the maximum salaries of elite NRL players, that's why it can work. Worldwide less than 1% of pro sports have them in...

Re: Canberra Raiders back NRL call to eliminate disrespect towards match officials
NRL fans have become obsessed with the ref. Actually they always have been, especially on the hill at stadiums... but it's spread like wildfire to every comments section of every NRL social media post... it's become a farce Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly. Even on this forum, read the game day thread,...

Re: Canberra Raiders back NRL call to eliminate poor behaviour towards match officials
The AFL brought in a dissent rule and poor player behaviour towards umpires stopped in a weekend. If the NRL really wants to stop this behaviour just penalise it out of the game. Players will learn quickly.

The cap is a joke. I said earlier in the thread he will end up at Rooster for less than market value and it looks like that is exactly what's happening. Anyone want to wager that the Clearys will end up at the roosters as well? Sooooooo by below market value are you now suggesting $600k’s?? He play...

Actually, yes, you should go easy on the junior players. They’re still developing players. There’s no need for overly critical comments at that stage of their careers. Also, as is a tradition as old as the Greenhouse himself, Botto is now all in on Chevy Stewart and will now gloss over every mistake he ever makes and award him points in the POTW thread even when he doesn't play. Levi makes 32 tackles in the middle, works hard all night to lays the foundations to that victory and you begrudgingly give him a 5. It’s sad to see but understandable given you are firmly on the bandwagon of running him down.
