Re: The new Laurie Daley

Laurie Daley came through into FG as a center in 1988. The Raiders had a very good 5/8 called Chris O'Sullivan and he deservedly held the 5/8 spot through to the 1989 Grand Final victory. (It was good for Sticky to have a player like O'Sullivan outside him when he switched to League too). It was gr...

Re: Trey Mooney inks big extension with Raiders

I think Taps is in a bit of strife with the shoulder report and who knows what happens with Papa, but either way I expect Mooney will be leant on a bit more vs the Rooters.

He's slowly building into a good contributor out there. Exciting stuff.

Interesting the ABC radio commentators banging on that Papa shouldn’t have been sin binned for his tackle. Penalty yes, but definitely not sin bin. They talked about it for a while. I said in the game that I thought that Papa collecting his own player was mitigating circumstances. But if they start...

Re: The new Laurie Daley

Daley was my favourite player growing up. He had the benefit of playing in the centres for a number of years (including 3 Grand Finals) outside Sully and Stick before moving to 5/8. He was an absolute gun. Could do it all in attack and defence. I love watching Strange play. I had the fortune and mis...

Why wasn't Kikau penalised. Lost control of the tackle , landed on his ankle. Oh yeah we didn't cry like a bitch Exactly. I don't think the Papa tackle was a hip drop, he was simply dragging Kikau down and made zero contact with his legs. That is not a hip drop. Bad luck if Kikau rolled his ankle. ...

It's their left edge we need to worry about.

EW needs to have a game and a half defensively tonight. That's where we can win or lose the contest.

We win this through the middle with quick play the balls.

Good news.

Never in doubt in my mind that he wanted to stay.

Whether the punters like it or not these kids clearly love playing for Ricky. That's why they are signing and that's why the club is backing the coach long-term.
