Re: 2022 Rd 13 V Roosters: Teams and Previews
Happy to see Trey get his debut. I saw him out and about on the weekend and he's got a bit of 'Alpha' about him... even though he's a Sunglasses at night type of operator.

Re: Jock Madden reportedly "shopped" to Raiders
I have liked what I've seen of Jock Madden but agree that it's Schneiders spot to lose.
Also hesitant in having another half with the initials JM.

Re: 2022 Rd 1 V Sharks: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I'm hoping it's a double smokescreen. Looking at the NSW cup teams list we have Rayden Burns (fullback) listed as #18 (the only reserve listed) but also listed to play #1 for the Jersey Flegg team. Could be that Rayden is listed at 18 for NSW cup knowing that Xavier is coming into firsts for one of ...

Hodgo could do a job at 7 and A.Elliot could rotate the 9 with Starling if none of Schneider/Frawley or Williams are up to it.

We know what we're going to get from Wighton with either Williams or Frawley along side him... Has to be Schneider, even though he might not make a difference pressure wise, at least he isn't a speed bump in defence.

Personally, I'm for CNK wearing the #1 and rotating during the game with Savage. Rapa on the bench as utility/back.
With Rapa likely missing a few rounds to start the year (DUI) Kris takes his bench spot.

Re: Nick Cotric ready for shock return to Canberra as Bulldogs make cost-cutting decision
It’s an odd take that we value a future signing by weighing him up against the current player we think is weakest in the position. I think in signing him we would be getting a better winger than is currently available in house. Rapa, sure he is way up there in terms of ability/x factor and consiste...

Agreed
My back 5 would be:
1. Savage
2. HSS
3. CNK
4. Timoko
5. Rapa
Kris as bench cover for outside backs or second row
Toots in reserves (if Cotric returns he'd go to wing, HSS to centres and Timoko to reserves)
Simonsson/Semi as wing reserves

Ideally we could do a trade deal with any of Simonsson, Semi or Kris (although would prefer to keep Kris and mould him into an edge forward)

If you do a Google search you’ll find Mick Crawley speaking very highly of him and his skills… and saying he won’t be with the Cutters for long. Is there any reason to use negative terms about a young player, who you’ve probably never seen play and who arrived yesterday? I've seen Rayden's highligh...

If Hodgo was to stick around he'd have no option but to rip and tear for us in 22 being a contract year for him.
I'd keep him, unless we could lure Smith with Hodgo and Starling coin and use Trevilian as understudy/backup

Nathan Ryan (foxsports) is saying there is an Australian team looking at bringing Kurt back from Leigh before the season starts.

Wighton's a bit of an enigma. There's no doubt he's got some talent, but the reality is that he's now in his 6th season and we still don't really know where his best spot is or how to get consistent footy out of him. He's a long way short of the player I thought he'd be by this point in his career,...

Wasn't sure where to post this but am wondering if the NRL judiciary will give Milford a week off for his "shoulder charge" last night? It was a pretty soft penalty but none the less , he was penalized for a shoulder charge so surely he misses out next week?

I'd have Austin as Captain to let Hodgson just play his role without the added responsibility, I'd obviously have Sezer take over goal kicking. I'd also consider putting Lee in the centres and Cotric to the wing (possibly swapping them in defense and offence if need be). JT as #14
