Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Can someone explain what exactly a 'multi-sport dome' is? What sports would it accommodate? Is it for basketball to replace AIS Arena? It's essentially a low cost indoor training facility that uses a pressurized inflatable roof. You can use it for track or even grass field sports. Being a dome it d...

You can put an air dome over any sporting facility. Velodromes, tennis courts, athletics facilities.

An internal draft would cover movement of players already in the NRL top 30 players. Or you could include players on supplementary lists. It’s for established players. An external draft would cover those who are playing junior football, who have not entered the NRL squads.

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
I feel sorry for the Titans, certainly not the Panthers. Never the Panthers. Of course I wouldn’t feel sorry for the Titans if we’d recruited Fifita. The thing that really gets on my goat is that you have star players going from struggling clubs who go to top teams, for what is supposedly “less”. A...

Re: Canberra Raiders back NRL call to eliminate disrespect towards match officials
But if it were the case, and it wouldn’t surprise me given the widespread animosity that seems to be abounding in the game towards female referees, it makes the behaviour even more awful. And the NRL should certainly be ensuring that doesn’t happen to any referee… so both men and women have the opp...

Re: Canberra Raiders back NRL call to eliminate disrespect towards match officials
The Badger situation is interesting. She had a poor game in our game vs Titans. She gets dropped and Annessley basically says Des was right in that she should have blown some penalties against us even though she missed another 30 odd against the Titans. She gets another lowly game in Tigers v Bulld...

Re: Canberra Raiders back NRL call to eliminate disrespect towards match officials
What happened? The game has a history of dissent towards referees, and no one has been really bothered, all part of the game. No referee ever cried on the field because of a put down. Suddenly a few female refs have a few atrocious games, everyone notices, and in this overly sensitive, hyper vigila...

Canberra Raiders back NRL call to eliminate disrespect towards match officials
I quite like the Annesley presser. I've had a number of times where I've had questions about rules and interpretations and I've liked have him come out and explain it so i can know, whether I'm right/wrong, or agree/disagree on what he says. I've gotten plenty out of it myself However I think you'r...

Chevy Stewart does have particular strengths. His ball playing, his running and stepping, his high involvement rates, unpredictability. I'm talking the core traits though: speed, agility, strength.
