Re: The Politics Thread 2016
Yeh I understand what you're saying, I don't really want to be the union advocate but I've kind of been wedged into it so I'll have a crack. Unions have a very big picture mindset, while each example (one day) on its own seems small from where the union sits they see them as the thin edge of the wed...

When I worked at Jupiter's Casino I was involved in a strike. The way the union bullied everyone was disgraceful and in the end we got a worse deal than if we hadn't have gone on strike I was pretty young, so I didn't care, and just enjoyed the days off (plus the whole time we were on strike I was ...

Yeh, most people dont like them until they need them for something, not everyone will need them though.
I'll probably never need them again, the people that clean my building do though, good luck to them if they can scrape up an extra dollar or two an hour

That's the weird thing, I said all along I don't have any strong views on unions, I've been on both sides of the fence.
I just called that article ridiculous nonsense, happy to stand by that opinion.

There are a load of factors that influence (or may influence) poor outcomes, mental illness, family situation, social factors, genetics etc etc etc. Most people who use/h...

Yeh it is, Malcolm ran ac/dc, it was his band. Vanda and young from the easybeats put it together though, they learnt a harsh lesson when the easybeats went to London and changed their style to suit the fashion of the day and tanked. The decided that wouldn't happen with acdc and 40 years later they...

There's a thing among good golfers called "projecting" and it's a really bad thing. It's used when people say "right three more birdies and I finish 4 under" or even worse negative projecting where you think "better not get two more bogies or I'll miss the cut". The pro...
