RSVP to the 2010 Green Eyed Members Day

It has been officially announced that the 2010 Green-Eyed Members Only Day will be held on Saturday the 6th of March, 2010 at Raiders HQ.

The day will begin at 8am where members will be able to watch the entire 2010 NRL Top Squad train up until around 10am. Other features of the day will also include a FREE BBQ that the Raiders Army Supporter group will be helping run and an up close and personal meet and greet and signing session with the top squad. The ‘2009 Fans Choice Player of the Year Award’ will also be presented on the day, and the new look 2010 Raiderettes will also be around along with Victor the Viking.

Jerseys Megastore will have a stall set up on the day so you will be able to buy all of the Green Machines new look supporter gear and 2010 NRL jerseys. Other Raiders sponsors will also be around on the day, with Café Momo setting up their mobile coffee van to keep Mum and Dad awake on the early Saturday morning.

Please remember to bring your membership card along with you on the day, as it is a strictly members only event and you will not be permitted through the gates without your card. The day will conclude at approximately 11.30am.

If you are planning on attending the day could you please RSVP to Mitch Flynn our Memberships Manager through mflynn@raiders.com.au with your name, membership number and the amount of people attending to help out with the catering purposes.

Memberships will be on sale on the day at the gate, but it is recommended that you sign up beforehand to avoid queues and delays when entering. wow so many people taking this personaly that im not going , you know as much as i love the raiders there is a life outside of the game and which i already had plans on those dates

im just winding you up mate. although we did have you penciled in for security. there are going to be a lot of fans there fighting for marko's autograph and we needed someone to keep them in line

my days of of hired goons are over but new days ofcage fighting are in so it will be security with a difference

And I think 'catering' will consist of bacon and eggs on the BBQ... Hopefully no sausages, I'll vom if I have to cook those.

I just received an email from the club saying the fan day has been moved to Sunday 21 March at 10am.

That sucks!!

Strange timing. After the season starts. Prior to MNF v Broncos.

makes it hard for sydney fans too, so we have to go down on the weekend then back home then down monday night (for those that have to work )

I agree.. I was heading down from the Centy Coast... Bad form!

Just emailed them, letting them know with the game being on Monday night it's going to be hard for any fan outside of canberra to attend. If it had been a Saturday or heaven for bid a Friday night game would have been great!!!!!

Its rubbish! Make it on a weekend that allows people from the surrounding areas to make a weekend of it, Fan day and a game.. Saturday/Sunday scenario..

I cant believe they change only a week and a bit out, i still havent received an email off them about it.

This is what the email said:

We may get more Canberra based people there because the original date was on a long weekend and the Capital is thread bare on those weekends.

They did it on a long weekend in 08 and there werent many there.

Fair call.. But make it on a weekend that suits ALL supporters.. not just those based in the Berra..

Important announcement: Change to Raiders members day

The CFMEU Canberra Raiders 2010 member’s day has been re-scheduled due to player commitments and training and will now be held at Canberra Stadium on Sunday March 21, ahead of the Raiders first home match of the season.

The Raiders apologise for any inconvenience to members who have arranged to attend the previous date, but have moved the date and venue to Canberra Stadium to accommodate the changes and to give fans the chance to cheer on the side ahead of the first home game.

The day will now commence at 10am at Canberra Stadium on Sunday, March 21 and will conclude at approximately 12.30pm. The Raiders will still be providing a free sausage sizzle for members while the Raiders will be training from 10am ahead of their match against the Broncos.

Jersey’s Megastore will be on hand to sell Raiders merchandise on the day, so make sure you purchase your favourite items to be signed by the your favourite player.

The players will then be available to members for photographs and autographs and of course plenty of well wishes for the season.

As per previous notices if you could please RSVP to Mitch at the Raiders via email on mflynn@raiders.com.au for catering purposes it would be most appreciated.

Don't forget the Members Day tomorrow morning, where KW (I think) will be presenting the Fans' Choice Award to the 2009 winner.

KW is out of town camping. I'm unaware of anyone he has organised. I'm cooking the BBQ, however I bet I end up with the duty of presenting this award.

GE, you got any last minute info in case this does eventuate? What was his score, who was 2nd, anything else that might be handy to know in case I have to do this?

The general is to busy searching for some hard hitting stuff imo.
