Need to re-sign Baptiste. Great beard and bald head and also in great form. Best bench hooker in the game atm.

Reading in foxsports article about player movements 'Brenko Lee looks set to make a decision on his future by the end of the week' bulldogs and manly are suitors with the bulldogs more likely to sign him.

If he is asking for big money, its not a bad loss if he goes.
He doesnt get a start in our side unless there is an injury.
Take Santo, Ottio as depth into next year and hopefully find an outside back with some kind of NRL experiecne as depth. Cotric cant be to far away either.

Brenko was alright on the wing, will do much better if he gets a centre spot somewhere.

Cotric is only 17 isn't he?, he needs time playing against men. I think he should go to Mounties next year for development.DJ89 wrote:If he is asking for big money, its not a bad loss if he goes.

Yeah, I think he really needs a good stint in mounties. 20s can often give you a false idea of how far someone is along in development. Be good to see him get a run in the 9s too next year.Bullraider wrote:Cotric is only 17 isn't he?, he needs time playing against men. Yeah 18 this year. Would be good for him to have a few game at NSW Cup level before progressing.zim wrote:Yeah, I think he really needs a good stint in mounties. 20s can often give you a false idea of how far someone is along in development. Although that's the age Croker debuted.

Good enough, old enough
We would be mad not to give him a run at Mounties this year so we know what we need to look for next year..

Cotric definitely looks like a kid that could debut at a young age.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2016
We're not in a player crisis. There is no need to fast track him while there is no spot for him.
Both Santo and Ottio would be ahead of him and signing a depth outside back that could do a job would not be difficult.
I think he'll play a few games to a good stint in mounties next year. The year after he'll play a long stint and maybe get a FG debut.

I can't see Bird coming here.
He'll most likely end up at the bulldogs or the tigers

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Bird's not coming to the Raiders. We wouldn't have the cash even if we wanted him, which we don't. This isn't even a thing.

Surely now that bird is never a chance of playing origin for NSW he'd fit in at the raiders.
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2016
If Stuart is fair dinkum about having depth then we need to sign another first grade standard back. Think the start of this year we had sisa waqa and b Lee as reserves. That's the kind of depth we need
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2016
Yeah, we need another tried and true NRL standard outside back to keep the pressure up there but other than that our squad is strong.

Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

You can bet your life that Ricks phone is ringing hot with blokes wanting to get a run with Canberra now we are on the verge of challenging for a top 4 spot this year and with the potential to go all the way over the next several years. Cap management would be the only limiting factor to recruitment nowadays.

Haha. Im not sure about that Cranky.
Stuart has definitely improved our recruitment 100000%, and he deserves a **** ton of credit about that. But it's worth remembering we havent signed a single blue chipper under him. What he's done is really smart, and doesnt rely on us being able to lure Jarryd Hayne to Canberra, he's targeted guys at the next level or two down who are ascending like Paulo and Tapine, guys with talent who just need someone who believes in them like Austin, guys from the ESL like Hodgson, Whitehead and Sia and then he took advantage of circumstance and locked Sezer in whilst everyone waited for Foran, Hodko and DCE sorted their **** out.
Again, should Stuart fail as coach, he's going to be at the club for a long time as some sort of Gould style GM gig, and he deserves that and more given the work he's done in recruitment but we're not and never will have the FA pull of a club like the Broncos, Bulldogs or Roosters as an example. And again as Stuart has proven, we don't need to be either

He's on a lot of coin for a non impact player that's no longer playing 80mins. I think the knights would benefit more than the dragons.

I think I'd want a more reliable source.
