It's not an inverted V
no viking knot
it's the wrong colour green

hopefully the numbers are the same as the original design
I'm with you Sid.

I Hope they post this design up somewhere so I can let them know removing 3 key parts of the design was a total **** bloke move.

I found a few designs entered into the competition that look more like the final product than what Gazf's does.

Not to knock these designs, but these received a combined 1/10th of the votes of Gazf's

I've normally been happy with the decisions of the club but that is disgraceful. It's nothing like the "winner".

Not normally that guy but I think I will have to contact the club. Had been looking forward to the jersey, and see that steaming pile of crap get released.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it too. It's a good jersey, but gazzaf's was better

I liked the original design but aside from not the keeping the inverted V I have no issues with it. Love the colours and the idea to put the names to it. If i designed a jersey and they tweaked it to include every Raider that has ever donned the clubs jersey then I would be ridiculously proud!

You lot are a hard bunch to please.

Credit to Gaz and the club. I'll be buying one and wearing it with pride!

What is the heritage jersey??

All bloody ridiculous if you ask me. I reckon we should just wear the green one unless we have to wear a different one when there is a clash. That white one last year was good.

^^ Change the shade of green, remove the background and add the names ok. I'm sure everyone here would still be happy with that. But instead they changed key points of the design. It's now not Gaz's design! It's a pretty standard ISC release, how hard is it to keep an inverted V and a bit of detail on the sleeve?
If I was in Gaz's shoes I'd be pissed. If I was the winner of the competition and were essentially promised to get my design made but all that goes out the window at production stage that's Poor form imo.

I think the problem people are having is that it now looks nothing like Gaz's design.

I think looks nothing like it is a bit far. But I understand why some people are pissed.

But it's the Raiders property and they have the right to change it. There may be valid reasons.

End of the day I still think it's a great jersey.

They kept the knot on the sleeve, just not visible there.

I can't say I'm over the moon about the changes. Some of the changes might be for sake of practicality but it doesn't really feel like its my design anymore. Having done freelance work in the past, I'm not unfamiliar with "design by committee" so it wasn't completely unexpected.

Don't blame you GAZF. Your design was the winner, but other designs ended up resembling the one produced. What's the point of a members competition to design the jersey if it's not adopted?

It's a good jersey the one produced, I do like it, but it's not the one that won.

The approved design certainly is fine and I wouldn't be against it or something similar being used as an away design. I actually submitted something to the club that was very similar as part of a branding proposal around 3-4 years back and my winning entry was an adaptation of that.

Even though its disappointing, I still get the chance to come down to the game this weekend so I'm looking forward to it.

I voted for GAZF's design and intended to buy a couple of them but this isn't Gazf's design. Without the map of Canberra and the lime green the only thing that makes it a Raiders jersey is the emblem.

That design is not my property anymore so I won't be supplying that specific design for anything unofficial, just to cover myself. Happy to come up with something else though, I have a few different ideas in mind.

Was at the game tonight and thought it looked pretty good tbh.

I really hated that shade of green on the "Memebers". It reminded me of the awful green on the Ozemail jerseys of early 2000s. Gaz's green was much better.
