Might be thin on outside back if Rapana is suspended. Schiller's injury didn’t look good.
Cotric and CNK due back?
God help us if we need to revert back to Valemei.

I think Valemi is out injured for a few weeks more. Elijah Anderson is pretty solid player and in the first grade squad, and Hopoate is still there as well.President Clinton wrote: ↑July 17, 2022, 7:08 pm Might be thin on outside back if Rapana is suspended. Schiller's injury didn’t look good.

We have coverage but would miss Rapana and Cotric’s experience and metres if they are missing. Particularly with Savage having only a handful of games under his belt.Crash Ball wrote: ↑July 17, 2022, 7:13 pmI think Valemi is out injured for a few weeks more. See the first post for the injury lists and expected returns. Valemei expected back next week or the week after.Crash Ball wrote: ↑July 17, 2022, 7:13 pmI think Valemi is out injured for a few weeks more. I'd be surprised if Rapana was charged, shocked if it was more than a fine if charged.

I don't think Rapana's hit is worth a charge.
It would be very inconsistent given Tino wasn't charged for his hit on Burton in SOO3
Schiller's injury looked bad - hope the kid is OK.

Schiller might be 50/50. I've seen ankles rolled like that which looked awful but are just a bit of swelling and are 90% in a week.Hong Kong Raider wrote: ↑July 17, 2022, 7:50 pm I don't think Rapana's hit is worth a charge.

Then again, seen some that weren't as spectacular end in more serious ligament damage.

Wasn't there a directive given by the nrl to just fine charges from soo unless it was something extremely serious?Hong Kong Raider wrote: ↑July 17, 2022, 7:50 pm I don't think Rapana's hit is worth a charge.

I'm expecting Raps to be charged sadly, not saying he should be though

In and of itself, I don't think there was much in Rapana's hit, however it was careless and he has a bit of history. I'd be very surprised if he got away with a fine.

Rapana has a rep, he will be suspended for sure. We all thought he'd be safe when he got reported for the shoulder charge earlier in the year and he ended up getting 2 weeks. I wouldn't be surpised if he's looking at a week or two on the sideline.
Re: 2022 Rd 19 V Warriors: Teams and Previews
Nothing surer after a Rick rah-rah-backs to the wall-bleed green effort against a contender… we will be putrid against the warriors this week
Re: 2022 Rd 19 V Warriors: Teams and Previews
Confirmed. Rapana two charges, 2 weeks suspended. 3 if he fights it.

Re: 2022 Rd 19 V Warriors: Teams and Previews
Hopefully Cotric is back this week to replace Rapana, in which case i'd like to see this team named:
1. Savage
2. Cotric (Hopoate if he cant go)
3. Timoko
4. Kris
5. Schiller
6. Wighton
7. Fogarty
8. Papalii
9. Woolford (more minutes plz)
10. Tapine
11. Young
12. CHN
13. Elliott
14. Trevilyan
15. Horsburgh
16. Guler
17. Sutton
I'd love to have Mooney and Rushton in the team over Elliott and Sutton. It's a real shame they're injured, as this season crawls its way to an end without finals football, it would have been very good to get some development games into them in lieu of players who are very established and heading to other clubs in 2023.

Gee there are some players out.
If Cotric, Schiller, CNK and Valemei are all unavailable we will be down to literally the last outside backs standing.
If that's the case and we see Hopoate and Anderson on the wings they are genuinely 8th and 9th choice suiting up. Crazy stuff.

Best chance will be if whitehead sits for another week. No coincidence our “addition by subtraction” contributed to the win yesterday

A positive way of looking at it is our 8th and 9th stringers still seem to be better than first choice circa-2015 Billy Tupou.julian87 wrote: ↑July 18, 2022, 12:01 pm Gee there are some players out.

Raiders are amongst the 4 or 5 clubs still playing for the final 2 spots in the Top 8. Raiders play teams above them on the ladder in 2 of the last 7 games.
In contrast Rabbitohs are a couple of wins ahead with a very tough run home
Not Premiership contenders, but an extra finals game of experience for the young players would be good

Amid all the doom and gloom of this year it should be pointed out that 5 of our 8 wins have come against teams in the top 8. 7 of our 9 losses have also come against top 8 teams. Fair to say our draw hasn't been the easiest to date. Run home is looking far better with 5 of 7 games against teams below us on the ladder. We basically control our own destiny as winning all those games should see us make the finals. Game against Manly in round 24 could also have a big impact on our fate.Sid wrote: ↑July 18, 2022, 2:55 pm Raiders are amongst the 4 or 5 clubs still playing for the final 2 spots in the Top 8. I think the Manly game will decide it. Roosters and Manly were both back in form on the weekend and I wouldn't be shocked if we dropped one of the Knights or Dragons.Northern Raider wrote: ↑July 18, 2022, 5:37 pmAmid all the doom and gloom of this year it should be pointed out that 5 of our 8 wins have come against teams in the top 8. 7 of our 9 losses have also come against top 8 teams. The draw is definitely a factor. Swap ours with the Sharks and we are deep in the top 8. I actually think we would be a big chance of getting over the top of them if we do scrape in and they ended up in 5th.
Re: 2022 Rd 19 V Warriors: Teams and Previews
Please do not assume that we come away with win by turning up just because its Warriors.
Painful for me to say this..
- Cotric needs to find hinself
- Whitehead... well... not sure if its just his best has passed him?
Same team i think.

Last 15 m of yesterdays game felt like the raiders of 2019 to me. For some reason i was confident we would win.
Im starting to agree with the sentiment of Whitehead not being part of the squad.
