Re: 2022 Commonwealth Games
Five gold medals in the pool for Australia from seven finals, two clean sweeps.
Re: 2022 Commonwealth Games
Really been getting into these games
Kyle Chalmers and Cody Simpson (lol, cant believe that's a thing!) can **** swim home, sick of these pricks not putting in
This isnt the **** Olympics, this is the Commonwealth games... COMMONWEALTH games... forget medalling, if you cant even get into the final of the Comm games, hang the swimming cap up.
Our girls are doing their thing again i see, love em.
Re: 2022 Commonwealth Games
Marathon Runner Adams is an outlier here where despite not winning a medal, i think he can get the flight home
That's a bloody good result given the event

Going soft in your old age!
Re: 2022 Commonwealth Games
Our girl is in a 3 way dog fight for medals in the marathon too!
Most of the countries who dominate this event are in the comm games, so it's been a good marathon day!

Awesome job by Stenson to win the womens marathon. I thought she'd struggle down the stretch but she just went from strength to strength
Her peers could keep up, she was relentless and dominated.
So awesome
Also two other girls finished 4th and 5th. Hell of an event for australia

Re: 2022 Commonwealth Games
There’s a place in my heart for the person who finishes last in the marathon. It’s a long event to compete and ponder how you trained for 4 years, went through all the rigorous training and finish last.
Helluvan achievement to get there no doubt, but if it were me, that would play on my mind for the whole race.

Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.

Male athlete from Cameroon disqualified from 100m heats for jumping the gun.
Long way to travel to get rissoled.
He’s on the beers now.

Looks like Australia won the Commonwealth Games. Gold mens hockey, last event. 7-0 over India. Shame Botman will have decided the woman’s hockey team has to come home on a container ship. And Peter Bol in economy.

I watched the girls play that final and as fulltime was whistled and hockey sticks flew in the air, i noted to my wife that it was lucky for them that there was plenty enough hockey sticks around to cobble together a raft and paddles so the girls and get home.
Peter Bol... love the guy. Silver isnt what we're looking for, but it's enough to get him a seat home... probably closer to the toilets than we were anticipating but thems the breaks
All in all, a wonderful Comm games. Australia proved their sporting dominance over the commonwealth, and in general i couldnt be prouder of the team. England can eat absolutely all the **** possible.
MVPS for me (Swim team excluded because then of course it's all swimmers)
Jessica Stenson - To win that event given the level of competition is absurd. What a champion
Robert Hoare - My wife and i watched that live and it was easily the most memorable single moment of the games for me, he came home with the wettest of sails to claim gold
Women's Rugby 7's - Going through the All Blacks and then Fiji in final, they had to do it the hard way but they prevailed
