New Canberra Raiders logo for 2024

Canberra Raiders brand stronger, fitter, green-eyed and ready for season 2024 and beyond

Just as our players look for ways to stay on top of their game, so too does our organisation when it comes to our brand. We’re proud to run you through some of the small but important modifications we’ve made that build on the revitalised logo work done in 2020.

Key changes:

As the green machine, we wanted one colour green to anchor our club to you, our fans. Instead of multiple greens, we now have just one, unifying our current off-field and on-field greens.

We wanted the representation of the Raiders brand to be consistent, no matter where you see us. That’s why, we’ve reduced the number of logos to just one.

And we wanted a logo that works as best as it can across all applications e.g., from apparel to social media and everything in between.

I know we all hate change, and most probably hated the change back in 2000 (although I think it was an improvement on a very dated looking logo).

All that being said, I think this one is trash.

There is a photo in the article that shows the transition and the first of the 3 is the best by far

I’m not gonna get hung too much on it. It’s a logo. I’ll get used to it. But yeah not a fan

The first one in that article isn't even the first, it used to have the two-tone green in the beard. I actually liked that the original (as in 2000-onwards original) was very detailed.

In the past season or two they've been tweaking it more and more to take out more and more detail for some reason. Horrible.

Not a fan of the new logo compared to the current. Also I much prefer the lime ‘off field’ green compared to other greens. I liked the move from the pre-2020 logo to the current

Do they ever ask the fans before implementing these things, like screen tests for movies or taste testers for new foods, in case everyone **** hates it? Or is it just some kid on a computer mucking around with logo designs and then we're stuck with it, fans be damned?

That's the response pretty much every time a brand edits their logo...

I can't think of a bigger waste of money than changing a logo.

I just said that to someone. Surely if it had been market tested it wouldn’t have got to first base.

I’ve seen about 50 odd people react to this now via 3-4 group chats and this website

Not a single positive reaction
They could have hand picked 100 members, emailed them asking for feedback and quickly found out they’re on a big time lower haha

I can understand what they are trying to do in simplifying the logo. Unfortunately they've come up with substandard one.
