I can’t get over the fact there were Raiders pundits parading around gloating and acting as if they were vindicated about their “Levi Island” bs on the basis of about 3 games where he wasn’t complete trash.

In all seriousness though, who was padding around gloating about Levi that wasn’t either a blatant troll or someone related in some form to the coach?

I don’t want to name people personally because everyone is entitled to their opinion but go listen to some Raiders related media and there are some non-troll figures there who proudly advocate for Levi island .

I dont know what Smithies has looked like in the last 3 weeks, havent caught up on those games yet
But he was on my radar before i left and remains so... he's a wonderful defender, and he works his **** off, no one could disput that but his attack i think actually hurts us
His distribution game hasnt been particularly impressive and he's got no tackle break/offload ability. We need more from that lock position in attack imo
Willing to give him more time to see how he continues to adjust to the NRL, but i think we've got a very good #13 waiting for a shot, so i dont want to wait too long

I agree. He’s a bit of a trombone in the strings section today. He’s quite slow. He looks to pass but the defence rushes up. He then has to run and gets tackled easily as he’s not fast enough or agile enough to be a threat of busting line himself
