Mickey_Raider wrote: April 28, 2024, 5:26 pm I couldn’t give a **** about losing the game. I had zero expectations and our spine has about 20 games of experience.

But being inexperienced doesn’t explain or excuse paper thin defence and the same putrid non-existent attacking structure we have seen for 10 years.

Sharks have done pretty much nothing special and will rack up 50 on us here.
Nothing special?

They've owned the ruck and done the basics better.

They've outclassed a borderline NSW Cup side.

Take out Hynes, Kennedy and (ugh) Wilton do you think it's even?
That hazleton bloke just shrugged off Tapine and strolled over the line otherwise untouched. Is that the sort of footy that impresses you? Even Sharks fans would be sheepish about those sorts of soft tries.

Do you think we ought to not expect even a little better than that?
Tapine stuffed up. It was awful.

Do you apply that same mindset to Levi?
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

It’s games like that this that just show how painfully obvious it is that we practice absolutely zero structure in attack or set moves.

You’ve got to laugh. Weakes half beats Hynes near the try line. Hynes is left on the wrong side of the ruck yet is allowed to hold onto his jersey, basically climb over Weakes and get to marker without being penalised….

I know we have a few players out, but this is an absolute disgrace. Surely, the tenure of Stuart must be under consideration. Just joking, this is the Raiders after all.
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

But what's confusing is that Strange/Stewart/Savage looked great in attack in NSW Cup together. What's changed??

People saying it's a young spine and backline, but I would expect that like 2007-08 to be exciting but inconsistent. Not just straight flat

When it's all said and done and the careers are in the books, we're going to have to have a serious chat about Glenn Buttriss's strangehold on being the least talented footballer to ever play 100 games.

Pretty **** bad loss this. Looks like it's in our top 10 worst ever.

Two more points for the Sharks and it'll be our worst one under Ricky.
