I listened to that album for the first time in about 10 years over the weekend. Great record, although I prefer "Bad Motorfinger".central coast green wrote:soundgarden's superunknown

System of a Down. End to end (first album to last album). Can't turn it off. Epic riffs. Hope to hell they tour this year.

I stupidly watched the Eurovision final last night. And now can't get the song "Be My Valentine! (Anti-Crisis Girl)" out of my head. Not even tonights game or a day at work helped.

Re: What are you currently listening to?
Those first two albums in particular are just one killer riff after another. Awesome. Sadly, the band is on indefinite hiatus (has been since 2006) and doesn't look like it will be getting together for a long time (if ever), so definitely no tour I'm afraid.Rick James wrote:System of a Down. Isn't that just so Serj could work on his solo stuff? I was hoping they'd get back to it this year sometime...

Re: What are you currently listening to?
It might have been one of the reasons, but most of the band members have been quoted in the last year or so as saying they don't know when/if they will get back together. Serj was even quoted this year as saying he had upgraded the band's status to "permanent hiatus".Rick James wrote:Isn't that just so Serj could work on his solo stuff? Re: What are you currently listening to?
I've seen them live a couple of times, and they're definitely not worth killing yourself over if you miss them. I mean, they were good, but I always saw them as a band not well suited to the massive arenas they ended up playing. I know someone who saw them at a smaller venue in London and he said it was amazing.Rick James wrote: Noooooo!
