Cotric signs with Bulldogs on $2 million three year deal
Business as usual as Canberra Raiders look to lock down Nick Cotric
It might be anything but business as usual in the NRL due to the coronavirus, but the Canberra Raiders will treat it as exactly that when it comes to contract negotiations with Nick Cotric and their other players.
"Contract negotiations with Nick are definitely still on and we're getting through that," Stuart said.

I think we need to be a bit careful with our headlines. “Lock down” means something completely different at the moment.

The NRL has shut down contract talks: Which stars may be in new colours when league returns?
Canberra Raiders
Powerhouse winger Nick Cotric is expected to re-sign with the Raiders at the end of the year and it is hard to imagine him being anywhere else. Just over a week ago Chief executive Dave Furner said the uncertainty surrounding the club and league won’t stand in their way as they continue negotiations. “I did speak to [Cotric] during the week, but I haven’t caught up with his agent. I’ll get onto that,” Furner told The Canberra Times. Furner said the same would be done for workhorse Sia Soliola who has built a reputation as one of the game’s genuine nice guys since moving to the nation’s capital. The anticipated re-signing of Cotric, along with Jarrod Croker, would mean another year in reserve grade for the ever-reliable Michael Oldfield who is also off-contract at the end of the year.

Nick Cotric back in Canberra Raiders contract talks... and he wants to stay in green
Canberra Raiders young gun Nick Cotric wants to stay in lime green with extension talks resuming.
"Definitely. I really like it here, it's my home town and we're in the process of doing all that now," Cotric said. "It got a bit caught up there with the virus, we had those six weeks off. I'm just focusing on doing my job for the club and doing the best I can and trying to play good footy and do my best."

Very pleased with his form in 2020 so far.
Breaking tackles and making metres.

Re: Nick Cotric back in Canberra Raiders contract talks
Definitely been much improved so far this season. Had a bit of a drop there at one stage but given how he was so impressive from day one that'ts understandable
Re: Nick Cotric back in Canberra Raiders contract talks
I'm convinced he had fitness issues last season. Always looked a step off and sluggish.
Looks much sharper and more agile this year, just like he was in '17-18.

I think he’s is good form.... I’d like to see him hit up up coming from the back fence, so to speak, and just charge into the line every now and then. A little too often caught crabbing sideways

Re: Nick Cotric back in Canberra Raiders contract talks
if nick really wants a new contract, why hasnt he threatened to request a release yet? surely he should have been doing this while he still had 2-3 years to run on his current contract?

He looks a little more leaner this year
And that can only mean good things.
Looks to have gained that little bit of extra pace( which I think he lost a little of) he had when he made his debut.

Why aren't they going after a player like Burton? Do they really need an upgrade in the centres when they have Hopoate, Smith and DWZ?

Canterbury Bulldogs reportedly set to target Nick Cotric
After a string of disappointing seasons, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are looking to overhaul their roster, with Raiders winger Nick Cotric and Tigers hooker Harry reportedly their main targets for 2021.
"Nick Cotric is the latest one to come on their radar. He’s off-contract at the end of the year, he wants to play in the centres and that’s a sticking point for Canberra because they have Jarrod Croker and Curtis Scott on pretty good money," Brent Read said.

Cotric won't leave, Canberra in his blood. Ricky will get rid of Scott before him
Nic only needs to look at the careers of Dylan Napa, Foran, Hopoate etc after they joined them.

The Australian are reporting that the Bulldogs are targeting Nick Cotric. It says he is rumoured to want to play centre, and they will give him a centre position.
Re: Canterbury Bulldogs reportedly targeting Nick Cotric
Lose Scott, Nic to centre, HSS/Simo/Oldy to wing. We make a cap saving on losing mid price Scott for a bargain winger and give rest to Bateman.
