1. Stewart- sounds weird in such a loss but he defended well. I'm still waiting for the slick passing he's shown in reggies to come out. Might take him a while to catch up with that side of FG. He popped up to receive one or two offloads which is good. We could lean in on offloads more since our at...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day

Both Cook and Woolford are crap and won’t change anything. There’s a reason why Stuart tried to “upgrade” Woolford with a player that’s been rejected from 3 NRL clubs. Has nothing to do with “personal vendettas” and everything to do with being not very good. Levi has been OK this year, popped up wi...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day

Definitely a few changes to be made next week. Cook needs to be our 7. Unfortunately Weekes is not a halfback. A bit unfair as he's being asked to perform a role that doesn't suit his skill set. Woolford back at dummy half. The other key change. We can't take that spine into another game. As for th...

Re: 2024 NRL Round 8: Teams and Game Day

Sanders went okay. The left side was targeted a lot but it looked like Hopgood and Hand (?, hooker) were the weak link. Especially Hand. Sivo, despite scoring a hattrick was terrible. This whole argument of not being able to buy superstars as an excuse for quite frankly, **** ordinary coaching, is a bit ridiculous to me. In the last 25 years of the NRL era, the best coach I’ve seen has been Craig Bellamy, hands down. The best team I’ve seen in the last 25 years, again, hands dow...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

A great signing for the future. Certainly buys another five years for the coach. And it shows in his laidback approach this year. The last two seasons he has looked like a coach under pressure. Particularly 2022 where he looked a dead man walking until Savage and Woolford came into the side and save...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Teams and Previews

You cannot have so many young spine players (in the halves and fullback) playing behind a beaten pack. It's too much pressure and unfair on them. Woolford provides the best service from dummy half and there's really no debate on that. Right now I don't care about those other areas of the 'hooker' de...

Okay, that was disappointing. A few clangers to put the game out of reach, but for me it was obvious from the first quarter of the game that we lost the ruck, the wrestle and forward battle. And comparing the packs that shouldn't be happening. Woolford must be given a go. Starling offers nothing. Le...

Man, Sutton has totally screwed up this game with his inconsistent refereeing of the ruck. First 20 minutes Warriors have all the ball and ruck is extremely slow. Then Saints get a bit of possession and all of a sudden he wants a quicker game. Three legup penalties in a row to Saints and 6agains thr...

Good news. I'd be as shattered if he left for one final big pay day as when Wiki left. He deserves to be our highest capped player.
