Re: Seven rival clubs circle Raiders prop Joseph Tapine

It's actually not that hard to square away the idea that we can struggle now despite building arguably the greatest single team of all time in the mid 90's You just have to have a few brain cells and look at the competition structure then and now and you'll see the fundamental differences between wh...

Re: Seven rival clubs circle Raiders prop Joseph Tapine

Always room under the sombrero. Jokes aside, Roosters about the obvious landing spot. With JWH and Taukeiaho on the way out they have some big gaps to fill in the middle. Lots of rumour they were chasing Haas so Tapine would be a viable alternative. Agreed. I am reasonable confident we'll keep him ...

Re: Rivals circle Joseph Tapine

What sort of deal do we expect will see Tapine extend? Expect? For us... who'd **** know, we like to overpay our own, so whilst i wouldnt like it, with the cap rising to 11m and beyond in the coming years, 4-5 years at 1m a season wouldnt really shock me What i'd be happy to do... 4 years for a rou...

Why are we needing to sway him into staying? Did i miss something? Maybe he wants to win a premiership. Im sure he does. But the Panthers arent letting players like Kikau to walk to pay him. The storm are notrious for not over paying forwards, particularly middle forwards The roosters are going thr...

Re: Rivals circle Joseph Tapine

My feeling is both club and player are keen to extend here and understand his standing in the game. In situations like that the deal usually gets done without much fuss. The price is going to be steep though Yea it is what it is, we'll have to pay big $ as he's arguably the best forward in the game...

Next vote should be tight between Chicka and Toots if this poll is anything to go by Basically, Furner has been replaced by Papalii on the list. I don’t really see Papalii’s record as challenging Ferguson or Croker myself. But Chicka and Croker were 10 and 8 last time. His record might not challeng...

Yeah i think CNK, if he was moved there fulltime would be a really good centre... but this year has added some complexity to that. Kris is playing really good footy there and appears to have really improved his defence since the back end of last year, and Timoko whilst not being a very gifted passer...

NRL.com also credit him with 5 errors against the knights and 4 against the broncos... i'd have to watch the game but boy that strikes me as off! haha. what happens if you limit that to just games he started? No idea. NRL stats made available the public arent mature enough to isolate that quickly. You'd need to go to the match stats where he didnt start, count up the non starts and the errors and remove them from the totals and redo it. Id imagine...

Re: 2022 Rd 16 V Dragons: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

Savage needs to improve his handling, there is no doubt about that. His loose carries in heavy contact is something that needs correcting. But we're very much blowing this out of proportion too. He touches the footy a lot, his nature is going to lead to more high variance play, which means more erro...

I’d be interested in the Stats, but I don’t reckon Rapana would be at Savages level. Someone told me Xavier had set a new record, but I don’t know whether that’s true or not. Steve Marvin may have had more in one game than Savage this season. Who ever told you that wouldn’t know his **** from his e...

Horsbrah this year has improved his handling errors significantly

The league is littered with players who had a loose carry in their first season or two who corrected it with time and maturity
