Re: 2024 NRL Round 11: Teams and Game Day
The number of times Johnston ran ahead of the inside play tonight was nuts. 4-5 times in the second half he ran himself out of the play when something was on. Far from the worst thing Souths did tonight but he's a guy you can usually rely on to nail that stuff. It’s probably where he expects Jack t...

Yeah looking a lot better.
I thought Guler's opening stint was quite good too. Looked like a guy that wants to stay in first grade.

Fog straight back in.
Depends what is happening with the rest of the squad as to where Weekes ends up.

Re: Fullback
Savage won't be moved from wing by Stick if Kris is available.
I think it's Rappa / Chevy at least until fogs is back. At least I hope it is.
I want Chevy to be getting those short stints rather than Kris to fullback and hoppa to centre.

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Game Day
The only reason Papalii didn’t land on Kikau’s legs was because another raiders player got in the way, and the force of Papalii swinging off the ground forced that Canberra player to come down on Kikau’s legs. You guys are arguing this is a perfectly fine and normal tackle on the technicality that ...

I was impressed with Ciraldo’s presser. I feel like the journos we’re trying to bait him into being critical of us or the refs over time wasting and penalties and sin bins etc, but he didn’t bite. Complimented us for our toughness, said he’d time waste as well if they had the lead at the end. Was c...

Re: The new Laurie Daley
I'd say he is. If you could sign either, who would you sign? Strange is going to be an exceptional first grader by the looks of things. But if I’m picking a NSW team on Sunday night, I’m going with the 5/8 that has played in the last FOUR grand finals. Not the teenager that has played ten games. Ju...

If he can't score those he might as well quit the game. Strange laid them on a platter.
He gets more points from me for the way he was always turning up in defence and bringing some energy when it looked like we were flagging.

30 seconds to go. Manly get a 7 tackle set. Koula blows any chance of a quick tap against retreating defence by kicking the ball. Brisbane get to set their defensive line. Manly then play out the last set with two prop hit ups and a second rower hit up. Game over. No backline move, no Hail Mary bom...

Great game tonight. As the game was going on and he hadn't come on yet I was worried he wouldn't get a chance to make an impact but he crammed a hell of a lot of quality into his stint.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
If Cook was 10-15% better in defense he's a first grade half. That might just come from being in the Raiders' system, which is more competitive than where he was in QLD, and increasing that fitness. I'd love to keep him around the club to fulfill that Frawley style role.

Salah needed that rev up. He'd been **** since coming back and pulled it together after the confrontation. I think that defensive unit is just not as good as they think they are.

Wonder what play Sivo was expecting. There's nothing other than a deep triple cut out to the winger that has him in the right position.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
Fuller is interesting, because it's directly related to how much we rate Chevy. Are we going all in on him? Or do we want to create competition in the fullback position? I doubt Chevy will be able to do what Fuller is doing now, by next year. Although that would be lovely of course. And surely Full...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
On current form Trai Fuller would be good competition and it's not a signing that tells Chevy his path is blocked. 28 next year so he's got a lot of experience playing against men (but not as much as you'd expect for 28).
