Not just an organising half but loves to run, straighten the attack and can deliver a perfect bullet pass in traffic. And good defence.

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

Ricky said give him 10 years and he would leave if he didn't win a premiership. it's now 11 years. Brad Arthur has had 11 w/o winning and the media have correctly stated that hardly any coach gets 11 years w/o winning. Hasler hasn’t won a premiership in the last 14 seasons, Bennett in the last 15. ...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

It would be a waste of their talent if we are not contending by 2026-27. Also a waste for the likes of Joe Tapine, Savage, Timoko, Kris etc. Why should someone like Timoko and Tapine stay ? They could walk into a club like the Roosters and Melbourne as they are elite in their position. Roosters woul...

Re: Coaching issues

A team like the Warriors have good attacking structures. You notice it pre and post Andrew Webster. I wouldn't say they have elite speed in the backline - CNK, Montoya, Berry, Pompey last year and RTS aren't particularly fast. But their systems / structures are good in creating a 3 v 2 or isolating ...

Due to the fuss over Trey Mooney and not getting picked for FG except in the last two weeks, I signed up for a subscription to NSW Cup. Re: Hooker for 2025 and future years

Wouldn't it be good if we even had a middling hooker like Jeremy Marshall-King who can engage the marker defence and make breaks from dummy half to capitalise on the good work of our forwards. And I don't even regard him as elite. Levi did himself no favours when he was the most senior of our spine ...

Hoppa (and Kris playing FB in 2023) at FB just reeks of short termism. I want to see Chevy develop his game in FG to when Rapana comes back in the side. Hoppa’s not going to win us a premiership at FB. We need to see what Chevy has got.

Proud that he stood up in the second half.

I think the jury is out on Trey Mooney and whether he is truly as good as people say he is on the GH forum. He looked slow and I didn't see him dominate in tackles. And I don't understand the fuss for Saulo as well - he gets dominated. Conversely, Xavier Willison will be a star for the Broncos. He i...

I'm not angry with that as we have a young team. It was always going to happen. I thought that Chevy was very brave and showed character. Kris is a NZ international and deservedly so. He's been shuffled around from centre to FB, then centre, then wing. His season was interrupted with a head knock and then had to sit out the next game v Warriors. He also had to adjust to a new 5/8 and wing partner, as well as playing centre again after...

Great player for us, one of the very best and one of my favourite Raiders. Still performing at the highest level. Would love him to break Jason Croker's record. Joey "Joseph" Johns called Broncos his "morals of the week". So I'm pretty confident we will win, so long as we can control Rice Walsh. He tends to be the worst tipster out of all the media personalities. When I've watched the Broncos play this year they haven't been that impres...

Nice interview with Fog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csZJx_36E5Q 1. Team is more patient, aim to hold the ball and get through their sets in the early rounds, turn it over the corner and then front load in defence. This is disappointing. Prefer his pace to that of Hoppa and Cotric. He’s not a centre and cannot defend like one. Agree with others that Asomua isn’t ready yet from what I’ve seen but next year may be different. But wingers are easy to replace and we have been through it before when Cotric left us.
