Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

We really need a top shelf hooker for our young spine - imagine unearthing another Josh Hodgson.

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews

That’s massive for us - easily their two best players so far this year. Will be massive if we can jag these two upsets heading into the bye - would go a long way to cementing a top 8 spot. It’s weird, the goalposts have shifted. At the start of the year, I didn’t expect us to be a top 8 side (more s...

His first touch he got a penalty because of good foot work, second touch he got a line break and he hasn’t missed a tackle

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

I also will say about Chevy, he has always seemed to play up an age group and takes 4 to 6 games to get into it. I won’t go back but from memory, he didn’t get his first try or try assist in cup until game 4 and then went on from them. I don’t expect him to have an impact on games for a little while...

I’ve been lurking this forum since 2012 and only started posting a couple years back. I consider myself to be… pretty emotional when it comes to the raiders but I must say, some takes on here are all time haha.

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

most recent article: "He's come and fronted up and let us know that he'd be moving on," Arthur said. "But he's told me to my face, and his manager has, that he's not asking for a release this year. "It's good. He made an obligation to the team at the start of the year, and that's...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders reportedly agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

This also means we have: Stewart signed until 2026 Sanders signed until 2027 Strange signed until 2028 I love that it’s staggered. The tigers made the mistake of signing all their youth (Woods, Teddy, Moses, Brooks) and until the same year and they ended up leaving at the same time. Good roster mana...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders reportedly agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

Brilliant.

Parra shouldn’t feel too bad - Moses and Brown are top shelf in this competition imo.

But my god, a spine of Chevy, Strange and Sanders is very exciting. Seems like they are all good mates too.

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Teams and Previews

It will be same as last week, Weekes in for Fog. Would actually love to have whitehead - last week was a good example of why we need senior players to reduce the growing pains. Just sucks that our first choice fullback and halfback are out for large parts of the season. Changes the expectation back ...

Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day

Went to this game last year with zero confidence and that was before Tapine was ruled out. Was such a satisfying victory. I have a lot more confidence going into this one - we legitimately look a better team on paper and are arguably playing better footy yet are still 3-1 outsiders. I’m going to thi...

Re: Newcastle Knights sign Canberra Raiders back James Schiller

I’ll also put this out there, if Schiller had no defensive issues, then keep him for the rest of the season on the right wing - don’t care if he leaving at seasons end if he is the best option.

But, with this information, I would have Hopa ahead of him next week.

Re: 'We definitely 1 million per cent want to keep Trey': Raiders keen for Mooney to stay

Trey Mooney just needs more time in first grade. I am surprised by how much Pasami Saulo has improved - this year with Ata playing a lot of second row, I think he has been our third best prop all year. He is also only 25 years of age and last year was his first full season so still plenty of upside....

Every player must provide his incumbent Club with a last right of negotiation for a 10-day period from the date of notice that the player has received an offer from a rival Club, and that offer has been submitted to the NRL, that he is prepared to accept. In order to give effect to this clause: a) t...

Same as last week - Sasagi in for Hoskingson. Starling is puzzling… just not effective for us anymore. No way Levi is an 80 minute hooker, there are very few of those in the competition. Would love to give Woolford a go, I don’t think Puru has played enough to slot in for 30 minutes a week tbh - he ...
