Re: Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart set to sign four-year contract extension
His next job is to win a premiership. If it doesn't happen by 2027-2028 I think he should go. However, what he has achieved with the Raiders is massive. He is putting his chips in on these young guys. For him and for us all I hope it pays off. Yes. Finally. Some agreement IMO you are 100% spot on w...

Semi Valemei stinking it up deluxe for the Cowboys. Never forget just how hard our coaching staff tried to make him a thing, despite all evidence pointing to the reality that the guy is simply hopeless at rugby league His moment when he tried to kick the ball off a bomb was classic Semi  The g...

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
The cap is a joke. I said earlier in the thread he will end up at Rooster for less than market value and it looks like that is exactly what's happening.
Anyone want to wager that the Clearys will end up at the roosters as well?

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
It’s funny - when I heard he was meeting with a Sydney club I immediately thought “I bet it’s the **** Roosters. They’re losing JWH, Manu, Sualii, Keary, Crichton, Tupou - there’s about 10 million dollars freed up. Why can’t it be someone like Penrith, they never buy any elite talent.” Then I find ...

Re: 'We definitely 1 million per cent want to keep Trey': Raiders keen for Mooney to stay
I'll be surprised if the Panthers don't have a sniff now. Back to Sydney, successful club. He'd be a good pick up for then. I'm fully expecting he signs with the Panthers or Chooks (maybe the dogs) in the coming weeks. The Schiller news just demonstrates this club can't have nice things despite not...

I think Mooney needs to be starting to get the best out of him until he is more comfortable with his position in the side. I also think this would be best for the team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Haha, there are a few problems with our team but middles aren’t one of them. This is madness😄

This sounds like a fox sports thought bubble. Remember when they basically bullied the tigers to sign Tim Sheens- who was then found to be way out of his depth

I wouldn’t be against giving Rapa another 12 months, yes his speed has gone but he offers the team so much more. He’s not in the Whitehead category of being pretty much completely past it.

Why dilute your strength?? Having Taps and Papa start and finish the game is what you want. If our second stringers can’t keep the momentum going then we have bigger problems.

Matt Elliott over Bellamy will never not be our biggest missed opportunity. Just look at the carousel of comedy coaches we have had in that time, while Melbourne have had both elite success and continuity… The irony is it’s the one time the club has strayed from the family farm hiring structure and...

Re: Raiders to lodge complaint over Sharks trainer
I mean I get that it's not a great look from the Sharks trainer, but given how terribly amateurish we played it just stinks of sour grapes. That's the downside. It's a completely reasonable thing to complain about. The trainer I no right to do it. But coming from the losing team it just looks like ...

Just a reminder we beat the Tigers 118-24 across senior grades two weeks ago. They are playing better than us mate and if they played like they have over the past two weeks they would have beaten us easily Sure they would have. They didn’t smash the Sharks last week? Savage will be lucky to keep his spot this week, errors are one thing but lack of urgency and complacency just doesn't cut it in the NRL. Very surprising the amount of people making excuses for him.

Schiller at Centre would have been better for me as Hoppa isn't playing there in the future, might as well give him time there (pretty sure it would have been opposite Gagai not Best which is a consideration). Strange was a good move but he had to pick either him or Weekes regardless. I think he wa...

Re: POLL: Strongest 2024 line up: Bench hooker/utility
Bit harsh on Starling as he is easily the number 1 choice for bench utility. His games just as bad as Woolfords tbf, so I’m unsure why Puru having basically never played 9 is the obvious choice here. It’s interesting that a few posters on here are working themselves into a frenzy about Puru when in ...

Re: POLL: Strongest 2024 line up: Bench hooker/utility
Puru is too much of an unknown. We made the decision to crawl into the finals in 2023 rather than look to the future. I can't select someone in a role they have never fulfilled in first grade. Based on 2023 I can't separate the other three. None of them are good options on 2023 showing. Throw a dar...
