Re: The new Laurie Daley

Yep he took the right option. It was the threat out wide that opened up the short ball.

Going wide would have given the defence a chance to scramble.

That’s what I’ve been talking about. The hip drops are ‘rarely sin binned’ and Fisher Harris didn’t have the contact with his own player in the mix.

Re: 2024 NRL Round 11: Teams and Game Day

The more I’ve looked at the Brian Kelly no try for Titans I can’t see a point where the ball has ‘definitely’ come away from the hand and that it’s clear that the bunker can overrule the on field referees call. My thoughts yesterday was no try, but I’m starting to waver. Yes the ball bobbled away fr...

Corey Parker is the dumbest commentator. Discuss. He just can’t back up his statements with valid arguments or insightful points on the play. Parker has a pre formed opinion on teams, players and the game and he can’t stray outside what he wants the outcome to be, even if the replay shows him to be...

Re: 2024 NRL Round 11: Teams and Game Day

These 3 game sessions in magic round are too much and it means too many fans miss out on attending. I’d rather four separate 2 game sessions. Either extend to the Thursday night. Or on the Saturday a 12pm and 2pm game. Then everyone leaves the ground for new fans come for a separate session for a 6p...

I watched this again last night and it was the head contact with Kaeo Weekes that caused him to lose his legs - was quite obvious upon review imo. Add on he didn’t put his body weight on the players leg, I think they should fight it. I’d support fighting it to reduce to a grade 1. There were a numb...

Surely Kikau and Preston deserved lowest grade fine charges.

Preston connected Whitehead flush on the jaw with an upward moving shoulder. That’s a key element they look for.

The judiciary is a complete lottery sometimes. That Morgan Smithies charge last week was absolutely ridiculous.

The key for Strange will be how he evolves once opposition coaches pick a chink in his armour. On a side note, how does Reed Mahoney consistently get away with leaving the defence line so early and flopping on tackles so late? The very Corey Parker who’s called out Raiders players who rush out of the line and make a non arm wrapping tackle, saying the person rushing out like that has to be responsible for their actions.

Suddenly a Brisbane player does it and he deems it not even worthy of a penalty.

Plenty of hip drops don’t lead to a sin binning, so I thought Papa colliding with and collecting Weekes in the process of the tackle might have seen a penalty only, but it certainly wasn’t the wrong decision by the ref either.
