Re: Coaching issues 2025
We still have issues - Only reason I'm not in here more often if I have a new born and babies are really time consuming! Our first half was terrible, we really didn't seem prepared. Our second half was good, looked great because of how garbage the Dolphins were playing but I'm giving it a B- we wer...

Sad to learn of the passing of Keith Stackpole. An aggressive batsman who won Cricketer of the year in the early 70's.
RIP Keith and thank you for the memories.

Spurs have been smashed by Liverpool 5-1. Spurs scored first but were 3-1 down at half time. It then went to 4-1 before Udogie thought the scoring was too slow so he provided Liverpool with an Own Goal. Congratulations to Liverpool for winning the Premier League title. The best team all year and wel...

Re: 2025 Round 9 v Storm: Teams and Previews
Storm will have done their homework on us which means they will run plays against our right side defence, bomb our back 3 and/or grubber through our line near the outside defenders on each side. There can be no lazy or half hearted defensive plays from us. Their loss of Harry Grant is huge, but Bell...

Re: 2025 Round 8 v Dolphins: Game Day
This was the perfect game to emphasise the Raiders plan for 3 FG quality 9s. The Dolphins struggled for service in the back half of this game. Multiple errors at dummy half did not help their cause.

I hope Ricky gave them a little spray at ht Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think the spray must have been aerostart because it sure got their engines going in the second half. Hosking was everywhere. Glad to see Fog show he is more than a kick only player. He read the play and with a dummy an...

Re: 2025 Round 8 v Dolphins: Game Day
Raiders right side defence is again poor against simple catch and pass plays. I am a Xav fan, but with the Dolphins a man down he catches a kick off and then puts his foot dead. Possession to the Dolphins and we wasted the extra man advantage. The Dolphins really have not looked back since then and ...

Re: Raiders looking to re-sign Tom Starling on two year deal
I like it. You need 3 quality hookers on your books and by quality I mean people that can actually play the position. Starling Pattie combo for now is great. It could be Pattie Starling before you know it. And Brailey can wait and be back up. We’ve been short on depth in key positions for the last ...

Mr Posh, what is your opinion of Harry Smith from Wigan. He is 25. I know little of his playing style. Given he has Bevan French as a partner, I take it Smith is an organising half. I see from his stats he is a fine goal kicker.

Re: Manly close in on next DCE with Raiders star set to quit Canberra
Some posters seem to assume output for Fog and Sanders remains steady. In ‘27 Fog will be 34. Every chance he’s a step too slow or spends 15 games injured- he already does that regularly. Sanders right now has a better running game. Maybe a better passing game. By ‘27 when Sanders is improved and F...

Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid
Whatever. Also, if he does leave this year, which looks more likely now, makes the case for getting Sanders into the squad fairly soon once he’s back from injury more compelling 100% agree Any chance we get to get him into the FG set up would be of huge benefit. Fog typically hasnt played a full se...

Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid
I think the game has changed between 2019 and 2025. Peter V'Landys became Chairman of the ARLC and NRL on 30 October 2019. He introduced V'Landys ball. The game is faster and this is the big difference between the 2019 side and the current 2025 team. The 2025 side is a faster line up than the 2019 s...

Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid
On and off the field Fog is a positive for the Raiders. I hope we can get the deal done and extend his Contract. Some players are late developers who work on aspects of their game to improve. He demonstrated yesterday the spiral bomb which is a threat to any catcher by the sheer height the ball trav...

Just thought I'd mention it. I certainly hadn't looked at the stats from that game (I might be tragic but I don't wanna go that far, no offence Seiff) but my wandering eye test wasn't showing KPP doing a great deal in defence - and yes, unless you hone in on it it's easy to miss the involvement - b...

Re: Through green eyes 2025
Pretty much agree with the ratings although ... I reckon Ethan Strange could have had another point. He scored a try with sheer power. He had a try assist for Tomale and the Raiders first try with a cut pass which cut out Kris and was perfect for Tomale which left him outside any Titans defender and...

I think we dont win a game like this 12 months ago (given we were 16 nil down). We scored tries today that we simply didn't know how to score last year. Good win. Certainly shows the benefits of Huddo, Kris and Smithies running straight lines down our left this season. You are spot on Benda, last s...

The good news was 2 competition points and scoring 5 tries. Conceding 4 tries was poor though. It will be good to get a home game next Sunday against the Dolfins. Good to be in 3rd spot on the ladder with a 46 point positive F/A.

We should offer tigers a swap deal.. Strange and Fogarty for Galvin. A firm NO to this ‘idea’ from me. Why would anyone who supports the Raiders want to trade a halves pairing which currently has the Raiders in the Top 4, for an error prone 5/8 who has displayed zero loyalty to the NRL Club which b...

I still don't think Weekes was all that good but he's got that occasional big linebreak in him, it's a real plus (I mean so does Savage when he plays there but that's a different story).
