On another topic. How good is Magic Round?

Greatest innovation to the game since Origin. The women on Thursday night just makes it even bigger.

Suncorp was electric tonight and will be for the whole weekend.

Re: Weekes

Weekes looks good but I am not convinced he is a half back.

He did make one big blue tonight. He threw the ball away on the last tackle instead of kicking. It goes to Kikau who passes to Addo-Carr who makes a break and we lose 2, concede 14 and don’t touch the ball for 15 mins.

Serious question - when do they start the 10 minutes for the sin bin from? By the clock on the Kayo feed, I get both sin bins to be around 8 mins 30 seconds rather than the full ten. very confused. I am glad someone asked this. I wasn’t sure of the rule either. The Dogs scored on the buzzer at half...

Just remember this thread when he has his bad days, and he will.

Strange looks a special talent and that was his best game tonight but perhaps hold off the comparing to Daley just yet.

Picking him in Origin this year would be madness.

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

With 27 rounds already it is not feasible, but the most sensible option would be for Magic Round to be an extra round where no team is home or away. Teams would then have 12 home games and 12 away games plus Magic Round. The revenue would then be split amongst all the clubs. This is how it is done ...

That is such a young backline. It is a worry to think how the side will look experience-wise when Papalii and Tapine are off the field. If he has signed with us, why would Parra get rid of Sanders now? I expect he is on very minimal money at Parra and he becomes a back up for them who they are now using.

What is in it for Parra to release him early?
