Re: 'We definitely 1 million per cent want to keep Trey': Raiders keen for Mooney to stay
I also note the club has continued to demonstrate a very sound strategy to recruitment and retention. There were a fair few of us who thought Trey wasn’t being prioritised but it was clearly in the works. We’ve retained all the right players (I like Schiller but can handle letting him go) and signe...

Good on the Titans. Now they can continue to be the 16th best team in the league.

Great news. Shows the club sees what we see.
This squad is building nicely. Agree with the previous posts about needing a hooker.

Good team. Looking forward to this game.
I’m glad we had a week off after the Manly game. It’s sometimes hard to readjust after the excitement of that kind of comeback.
I also like how Rapa had a couple of extra weeks to get fit. He’ll be chomping at the bit to get out there.

3 - Elliott. He’s struggled for years but tonight we saw what he did so well for most of his time in green. His anticipation is second to none. The Kaeo assist was all-time. 2 - Cotric. It was apparent very early that Nic had come to play because he was took lots of hit-ups and was pushing through t...

Just back from the hill at Brookie. You know it is a good night at the office when the shirts are off and Manly fans are so triggered they are chucking cans. Hahaha what a beautiful night. Enjoy. So envious! I could think of nothing better than coming from 20-0 down to win against Manly at Brookvale.

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Game Day
interesting alternate reality... if EW wins the challenge down 22-24, we probably kick for goal I said in a group chat at the time and almost everyone in it agreed... losing the challenge and being forced to play for the win was a blessing in disguise and our best chance to snatch a very unlikely w...

I wonder if it is pride. Ricky definitely has that in spades but who’s he too proud to admit a mistake to? Us? I doubt it. The media? They’re not pointing out issues with selections. They never do. Lots of people claimed Ricky was too proud to admit he should’ve played Savage but he overcame it by ...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025
Seems like most people are fairly close to agreeing about what constitutes success and when based on the above comments. We expect the young trio to be supported and developed, so we’re looking dangerous in 2026-7 with strong indications we’re tracking for premiership contention in the following yea...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025
In 2026, Strange, Sanders and Chevy will still only be 21 years old. I’d like to think we’d be up towards the top of the table but they’ll still be very young for spine players and I think having the premiership cut-off date that soon is unreasonable. Strange could have 40-50 games under his belt by...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
It will likely take the team and the players some time to adjust too. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well we have been playing and the freedom a lot of players have been playing with this season. Something is different. I hope this continues now and else don't resort to desperation trying to...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
They will need him - Origin period. Kaeo Weekes has signed a 2 year deal. Flying a bloke in for 4 weeks and saying to Kaeo we don't think you're good enough isn't good management IMO. Had the potential to create unnecessary waves within the playing group. We're not that desperate at the moment. Add...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders reportedly agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025
This is some all-time great recruitment by the club. Identifying the best young talent and signing them over a number of years. And all key position players. Quite incredible really.
It may not work out as we hope but the club has given itself the best chance of building a successful team.

We have two perfectly good 9s on the books playing cup and playing like 9s. The trouble is we have two 14s playing first grade and they are playing like 14s. So we already have a nine and a fourteen for first grade and a 9 and a 14 for cup. Sorted. Someone just has to convince Ricky to play one of ...

Hard game to watch but I signed up for a season of blooding youngsters, so this what we get some days. Probably what we’re going to get a lot more of now Jamal is out. Losing Jamal is going to really hurt. It’s hard to think of a player more valuable to his team than him. Chevy is tough. I may never...

Years of bagging the Jarrod Croker to only continuously sing the praises of Semi Valemei, who quite frankly had the most embarrassing performance of any Raider I’ve ever seen. And I’d have hoped the promise of Rapa’s spot from next season would’ve been enough.
But maybe the Knights offered big money.

I don't know how Trevilyan found himself on the bench in reserve grade but after Sunday we now know he can kick and has pace and I haven't seen a leap like that one to take a short kick off for a long time. He's played some AFL by the look of it. He's certainly not kicking stones. He's been hiding ...

Credit to Ricky for making the right choices this week. I would have been very unhappy to see one or both of: A. Guler brought back in to replace Hors B. Kris moved to fullback and Cotric brought into centre. I think both of the above were highly possible and would have been classic Ricky selection...

Excellent team and so pumped for Chevy and Trey. Hope they both kill it. Horse is unlucky. No Origin for him. Can’t help but wonder if coming back underdone contributed to it. Starling has had some great moments this season, including when he stopped a charging Marzhew one-on-one, which allowed he and Papa to drive Marzhew back in goal. He’s had other big defensive efforts like that and his energy is noticeable most weeks. That said, his attacking influence is minimal. Ot...
