Re: Mick Weyman nearly bought tears to my eyes
I'm with you Horse. I love and miss Canberra and hope to get back there some day soon. I've got to admit though the beautiful weather up here at the moment is easing my pain. But come October, this place will turn back into a sweat box hell hole for another long six months :( soft No softer t...

Re: Johns won't be sacked by Raiders
Greenbits, an honest question: if Johns did call Inglis a black **** - which you've agreed is a racist comment - why is he not racist? What I am asking is what does someone have to do to be called racist (as different to just labelling what he said as racist)? Obviously, a Pauline Hanson or Nick Gr...

tbh i think comments like "I really don't think he plays up to the level achieved last night every week" are absolutely hilarious He had a stormer of a game last night, but to expect him to play to that level week in and week out is ridiculous. Lockyer doesnt play up to the level he plays...

Got to say I prefer it to the Footy Show. They've trimmed fown the stupid skits, and I suspect have actual writers for some of them. Have some good talk in Controversy Corner and much less cringe moments than the Footy Show.B_Hammock wrote:Eric Grothe's "My Kevvy" was hilarious, great show tonight.

Another classic performance from QLD, they truly are one of the greatest rugby league teams ever assembled. Lockyer is a living/playing legend. Can't fault this post really. Shame how the game ended. NSW didn't deserve to score. Should have been a record win. So that's the end of Bellamy, and I thi...

Beau Scott did play well, but he was trying to niggle Inglis, and that's just stupid. Inglis is one of those people who is better than anyone who tries to stop him - your only hope is that he doesn't inject himself. When you p*ss him off, he'll get involved, and when he's involved he is better than...

Re: 2010 State of Origin II
This 30 Years of Origin show is a good watch.
Seeing the footage of "Queensland's worst ever team" put together two arsey wins and somehow stop a NSW fourpeat gives me hope that NSW's worst ever team can do something similar.
EDIT: The Rabs segment dragged it down a bit.

The Central Coast's team got canned and we're still the strongest rugby league region on the planet, despite having a reasonably strong soccer team here. I'm not sure how dismantling the only NRL in southern NSW and essentially relinquishing the area to union and AFL is good for the game. Wow, so if the Raiders folded or relocated, the people of Canberra would immediately start following AFL, a sport that doesn't even have a major team in the region...

turbodewd is of course correct. Just because there are poor public transport links between Gosford and Brookvale Oval means nothing.
