Re: 2019 Rd 21 V Roosters: Game Day

Does anyone think that we have been training some things that we are not putting into games just yet? It is clear that to win big finals you need to be able to throw things at teams that they aren't able to defend but with the analysis being so on point once you have used a strategy teams will be l...

Re: 2019 Rd 21 V Roosters: Game Day

Rickman I agree with you on the CNK one, I think that's a fair cop but what people are unhappy about is the fact that it is consistently a penalty all year and it wasn't on the day. I can get around that notion but for me I think the rule should be interpreted the way the refs did do it so i'm fine ...

Re: 2019 Rd 21 V Roosters: Game Day

I don't need a lesson on the rules Pigman, I know the rules I'm talking about where the discrepancies are and you want to apply them with no grey, mostly I think to win internet arguments. The big problem with where you're at mate is you're actually a pretty cluey bloke on footy, but you've spent 2 ...

Re: 2019 Rd 21 V Roosters: Game Day

Woody, if its in the rule book, stated clear as day, then im afraid yes it is a penalty. It's not open to common sense or interpreation, it just is. If you want to say the rule if **** garbage, fine. But it is a penalty. You're trying to interpret a game of footy in clear black and white and it isn...

I’m still waiting to hear about how this interpretation is logically consistent with penalising high tacklers when the runner slips over. high contact in a tackle is a mandatory penalty, doesnt matter how or why. No interpretation required. Player was hit in the head in a tackle forcefully. End of ...

Re: 2019 Rd 21 V Roosters: Game Day

Robinson is being a ****. He is training his players to kill momentum using the rules as his tool. That's not how i see it at all, i actually think situation is far more appalling than some tactic to stop us from getting a quick play the ball on tackle 5, 30 out from the try line. But there can be ...

Re: 2019 Rd 21 V Roosters: Game Day

Pigman, agree with your assessment of the Mitchell try and I think most footy players would see it that way. I mean, everything isn't a technicality and the fullback had a fair play at it so I believe that's a try and always should be. We can't complain. As for the revelation about the scrum penalty...

I think we're absolutely premiership contenders and my natural instinct is to not believe we are. We're there in September, I believe we can beat anyone and do it 3 or 4 times. Today hasn't changed my thinking at all. Every team has areas of improvement and I think we learn from today and move forwa...

Re: 2019 Rd 21 V Roosters: Game Day

I thought we lost the game because our game management is not up to the mark. I don't quite know how we can be so unorganised on an attacking set of 6 after a stoppage let alone the kicking game. Our 5th tackle options were up there with as bad as we've seen all year. And the thing that bugs me the ...

RTS is clearly a physically and technically a more gifted player than CNK. What you can't measure is the attitude that CNK is bringing us. Favourite player. If Ricky told him to reduce the chance of giving away stupid penalties with over the top aggression then he's doing his job. I suspect Ricky has told him nothing. I remember at the start of the year when we signed him I thought to myself why on earth would we sign a backrower, abso...

The other two are spot on, and were handled perfectly on the field and subsequently.
Any insights on why the Jurbo one was the only one that was overlooked? Luck of the draw perhaps?

No my point to Pickles is that it would be a proportionality thing. I think say a Souths fan might be unpleasantly surprised if t...

I’ve watched footy with fans of most teams and nearly all of them think they screwed by the refs, it’s really quite incredible that all the teams could be screwed over at once! Haha, no agenda. It was presented without comment. But i just found it interesting that those two were in that position. But the Raiders do...

One of them completely aggrieved with the club from all reports. I won't argue the toss because I know your agenda on this stuff but I don't think listing Robertson is a tick in the Raiders box. FYI i'm with Beejay on the Ponga call. I mostly played fullback or outside backs growing up and I think about scenarios like that and you're just competing for the ball.
