Happy birthday Nickman.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Just sitting on the couch having a beer. Might have a bath and drink a bottle of red before heating up a chicken parmi, finishing the bottle and heading off to bed nice and early.

My lovely wife is out with friends, I’ll probably be in bed before she gets home.

The PJ clan + monster are off to HVG for a 9-30am wedding this morning. This is actually the 2nd wedding for my niece and her husband. They were married 12 months ago during COVID restrictions where only 10 people were allowed to attend.

They went ahead with the ceremony but rescheduled the reception. Which is today.

The 9-30am timeslot is to accomodate the two elderly grandmothers. Works well for me.

ILL BE HOME FOR 5-30 KICKOFF !!!!!

Just as importantly... is the Monster the designated driver?

I was shocked. Where I am, there’s 4 servos all in a row on the main road, and Costco is the next block across. All 4 on the main drag were similar prices.

Thanks to COVID, the lineup at Costco was non-existent also
