Yikes. What was the cost breakdown Fui? We have Brodburger here which is a very tasty burger. They're between 15 and 20 dollars.
Yeah it was around $19/$20 for the burgers, $7 for the chips, and $10ish on the shakes.

It was $69 and change, which became $70 after I paid with my watch and copped a surcharge

What was pulp fiction - a $5 shake was expensive? I can understand a $20 burger, but a $10 shake should be a crime.

for the best part of the last 5 years I went to the same Cafe basically every day for my coffee and once or twice a week I'd grab something to eat. Fair to say became friends with the owners and staff but around Easter they threw their lease in and the new leaseholders food and service was rubbish so I didn't give them a second chance.
New people took over last week with one of my favourite staff from before and now I almost feel guilty going back there, the food is as good if not better but the prices are steeper so maybe I'll just justify buying coffee as not being a disloyal friend

Yeah it’s crazy town. We compared that to Carls Jr when we tried them out. It was $40 for 2 meals (2 burgers, 2 chips, 2 drinks) and the burgers were as good.

The mask mandate was lifted at my workplace this morning.

Our Newcastle worksite reached 80% double jabbed. Masks are still to be carried at all times and must be worn if social distancing cannot be avoided (1.5m)

The unvaccinated are still wearing masks though.

It’s the monsters annual trip to Tamworth to spend time with the favourite daughter.

My job is pretty easy..just get the ole girl to Scone, then back to LakMac for me.

The monster is coming home from Tamworth today.

One day earlier than planned, she was due tomorrow.

Her reasoning ???

Sunday is going to be very stormy with plenty of rain ☔️.

She’s a passenger in a car.

I’m assuming it’s Plough and Harrow the pub near Camden, and not Plough and Harrow, the adventure park in West Sydney Parklands?

I’ll be heading out you way next weekend. Going to visit Mrs Fui’s Nonna at Glen Alpine

I’m glad you brought this up Fui.

I googled Plough and Harrow yesterday and was left wondering if Q was having a nice lunch + beers OR was climbing all over the monkey bars.

Yesterday we all..PJ, MrsPJ and PJjnr went to Pelican RSL for lunch.

Nice place for those of you that have been there.

I was sampling TED stubbies for $5-50 each..that’s very handy.

We had a great lunch, MrsPJ had a win on the pokies. I won’t say how much but she said we’d go out for lunch again tomorrow..ok I said.

Sunday we go to Central Leagues Club. So rince repeat but now my TED stubbies are $7. Now I’m a beer drinker. A schooner could cost $20 and I’m still drinking. Smokers are the same..

My issue the the price difference from venue to venue.

I understand how it works.

They buy a carton of TED stubbies at Dans for $42. That’s 24 bottles at less then $2 per bottle. They then take that carton back to the pub/club etc and sell them at a 300% profit.

But it’s the discrepancy from venue to venue that grinds my gears.

Can I ask for some advice on wristwatches please ?

I’m racking up 25yrs service with my company in Feb and the present is a watch of my choice.

$$$ is not an issue. I’ve been online looking at the Garmin Smartwatch range. a lot of these watches have features I’ll never use. The technology build into these watches are mind blowing.

Two in particular have caught my eye-

1. Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Solar
2. Garmin Tactix Delta

Do we have any watch freaks on here ?

I’m not a watch freak, but I have a bit of a collection. I was looking at the Garmin, but ended up going the Apple Watch.

Became a bit of a sheep, and thought it would be better to get that and sync it to my iPhone.

My prized watch is a limited edition Jim Beam watch, made out of recycled bourbon barrel wood and metal.

Yeah, back to normal. Diagnosis wasn’t that conclusive, X Ray showed it wasn’t skeletal, so went to a blood test. Uric Acid was slightly high, normal range is something - 50 and mine was 51, but this was as my foot was getting better.

Doc said it could potentially be Gout. Just got told to get the weight back in order, and get another blood test in 6 months
So foot thing came back, but in a semi-different spot, and very mild. Docs now thinking it might be linked to my lower back pains I get.

So not gout, but maybe Sciatica
