Got a diagnosis ?
Yeah, back to normal. Diagnosis wasn’t that conclusive, X Ray showed it wasn’t skeletal, so went to a blood test. Uric Acid was slightly high, normal range is something - 50 and mine was 51, but this was as my foot was getting better.

Doc said it could potentially be Gout. Just got told to get the weight back in order, and get another blood test in 6 months
So foot thing came back, but in a semi-different spot, and very mild. Docs now thinking it might be linked to my lower back pains I get.

So not gout, but maybe Sciatica
ouch sciatica sucks

Yeah, I’m not surprised. With the work I used to do in my teens / 20’s, I’ve been waiting for it to come back.

Brighter notes, went down to the 2550 to visit the old man for a surprise 70th. It was good, met a lot of relos on his side I’ve never met. Good people. All of a sudden I make sense. I grew up with family on my mothers side, and always felt like a black sheep. Dads side are my kind of people.

Exactly the same Fui. Met my dad in 2005. Then I made sense because I am nothing like my mums side!
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

**Edit** Realised I basically repeated myself.

Anyone tried the Peroni Gran Reserve beers? Top notch, and the sexiest beer bottles you’ll find. I’ve been buying and drinking them, just to recycle the beers for Fui’s Brewies

PJjnr lost his favourite hat about 3months ago. We believe he left it at Toronto pool. He always has this hat on his head and the day he came home not wearing it we went on the hunt.

It’s a RAAF 37 Squadron ball cap, he got it for free about 5yrs ago when I took him to a RAAF open day at Williamtown. They let jnr climb into the cockpit of a C-130 Herc and they really took a shining to him. They were selling these hats for $30. Jnr got given one straight from the head of a RAAF member..nice touch.

Anyway when he lost the hat when rang the pool to check the lost and found box. Told them the importance of the hat and if they found it could they give us a call. It already had his name and ICE number written on it. They checked, nothing. That was August.

Today, about an hour ago MrsPJ received a call from an elderly man who found jnrs hat at the pools lost and found box while looking for his reading glasses he lost yesterday. We are so grateful for the call and jnr is unaware at this stage his hat has been found. MrsPJ will be taking jnr for a drive this afternoon to the mans place to retrieve the hat. PJjnr will be elated.

How the pool staff couldn’t find a hat in a box 3 months ago has me stuffed but the end story is all very nice.

I’ve suggested to MrsPJ she stops for a box of chocolates as a thank you today.

It’s nice to be nice.

I got a txt msg from work. There’s Covid-19 in the house. I finished last Friday (17th) so I’m ok but the fitters and electricians have remained for shutdowns. I believe they knock off for Christmas today.

The msg states 6 trades people are positive, all workforce sent for testing.

I’m not due back till 10th Jan.

I’ve had a rapid test in the past hour, I’m negative and feel fine.

I’ll just monitor symptoms and get on with enjoying my holidays.

What happens on return to work I’ll deal with that later.
