A bunch of white guys butchering an attempt at hyping their product

Butchered? Windows 95 was the no1 operating system for years, despite being an absolute abomination.

Get with the times you fool and start prancing.
They've released some absolute stinkers of OS

95, ME, Vista, Windows 8

Vista was an absolute horror show. So much hype and turned out to be a bloated mess. Was made worse by being a successor to XP which was actually very good.

Melbourne heading into their 4th lockdown. Why is it that every state except NSW **** the bed? Surely Victoria should have it sorted by now.

Especially after they had that consultation tour with NSW health on the contact tracing. We basically gave them the blueprint on what to do.
Something's **** between their health experts and government.

They still haven't bought in a QR app. ACT, NSW, SA have all had one for nearly 12 months. Hell, even Queensland have had it since the beginning of this month.

Considering Vic has been the most affected state in terms of lockdowns, it really is unfathomable that the simplest piece of the puzzle to stop further lockdowns has not been implemented, despite examples being in existence for a year.

It is also mind boggling the federal government hasnt mandated their use as a step to national and international borders being opened.

Victoria is still a basket case, their contact tracing has for the most part been manual which people have been giving fake names and numbers.

The fact they are being technologically outdone by a territory with about 6 million less people, is nothing short of embarrassing

Not to mention what they were saying today about the process to book the COVID jabs in Victoria. No online booking, you have to call. People have been trying for days to make an appointment.

Talk about backwards
Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.

I've booked mine, I'm now eligible cause I've been diagnosed with an auto immune condition

Easy as piss in the ACT, register for a digital health record, they send you a message inviting you to book, you book in.. boom done.

Just to highlight how far behind we are with vaccine rollout, the Indy 500 is on this weekend. They have implemented a no jab, no seat policy - however, they have also facilitated a vaccine base ON SITE so if you haven’t received your vaccine, you can have a free jab on the way to your seat.

"But scores of Melburnians queuing for the COVID-19 jab on Saturday faced long waits after technical issues crippled booking systems.

It comes after the state's coronavirus hotline was flooded with more than 77,000 calls in 15 minutes when it was announced on Thursday that eligibility for the Pfizer vaccine would be expanded to people aged 40-49.

The Victoria Department of Health's Jeroen Weimar said the state was currently unable to administer more than roughly 20,000 jabs a day."

Weird.

I can get behind the whole 'no jab, no seat' thing, though vaccinating people en-route to their seat isn't going to protect them from COVID at the event, nor stop them from spreading it to others. Vaccines take time to become effective.

If I have COVID and rock up to the Indy 500, get my jab, then find my way to my seat, all the other people vaccinated just recently could catch it from me and spread it further.

It would probably be better to restrict seating to those who have completed their full vaccination course, though on the other hand I suppose it would 'force' people who wouldn't otherwise get vaccinated to roll up their sleeves, by using the event as a combination carrot/stick.

Had my 1st jab this morning. Vaccination clinic set up alongside a local GP clinic. They were rolling people through pretty efficiently doing groups of 3. They are set up to handle more concurrently if needed. Public uptake seems to have increased. Likely off the back of the latest outbreak in Victoria.

How are you feeling today? Any side effects?

From people I've spoken to the next day seems to be worst.

Felt OK this morning. Arm aches a little just like the flu jab. Around 10am I started feeling a bit funky. Had a couple of paracetamol and OK now. Mate of mine had his shot on Monday. Said he woke up with cold sweats and muscle pain. Was gone by lunchtime.

Both of us have noticed significantly better mobile phone reception. Not sure if that's related.
