Watching live you could clearly hear the whistle when ball was mid flight. They blew it too early then let the touchdown stand. Basically doubled up on bad calls. Refs completely screwed that one up. The fact that it couldn't be reviewed is more a problem with the rules and needs to be changed. Expect it will after that.

I don’t think it actually impacted the play
The whistle blew half a second before the whistle occurred
Moehrig was already clean beaten on the play and had no chance to save it
No one on the raiders could honestly claim they could have made a play on the ball but didn’t because they heard a whistle

That being said the rule is very clear. Inadvertent whistle should have been a replay of the down
So they ignored the rules of the game to do what they felt was right, which is a slippery slope that can’t be accepted

The most bizarre part is the reaction from the NFL which was a weird, nothing to see here, move along.

Very strange
they'd have been better off conceding they ignored the rule because they believed the whistle occured late enough in the play that it did not impact the play for either sidd, and taking the touchdown off the board would be a greater injustice to the bengals than allowing it to stand and what injustice that was for the Raiders

A true team effort so far
Eagles trash in all 3 phases.

This is the problem with hurts though… the third and 9 on the second series, he left a clean pocket and throw on the run to his left, which got tipped and left a wide open touchdown on the field because he didn’t read the crosser

Not a single eagles fan in the world thought they’d convert third and 9
And now down 14-0, and the soft zone defence being diced up as expected against Brady, not an eagles fan in the world thinks they can pass their way back from double digits even if it’s still only the first qtr

Eagles only chance to get back in the game was to score on the final drive and back up on the opening drive of the second half
Smith wide open in the end zone, Hurts very late on the throw, picked.

For Hurts to end the year on this kind of performance is going to give the eagles a lot to think about

Hurts is a backup QB you bring in to run trick plays. And can fill in for 1-2 games a year if required due to injury.

Probably would've looked good in the Chip Kelly offense though

Half way through wild card round, the playoffs have been fun so far. A couple of beatdowns and a close one in Cincy. Looking forward to this 49ers/Cowboys game, and tomorrow’s Rams/Cardinals matchup. Not expecting much out of the KC/Steelers game - could well be another blowout.

Hot start on O and D for the 9ers - drive the field for a TD then force a 3-and-out

No doubt the biggest off season question for the Pheagles to answer. Plenty of draft collateral to trade for a decent starter. Cap space is the issue. They will need to make some other roster moves to accommodate anybody half decent.

Nick Bosa out at the half, HUGE out.

Yep, no pass rush pressure now for Dak, he has too much time.

We have literally done everything we couldn't afford to do:
Let them run.
Let them lead.
Give them easy yds via Penalties.
Kill our drives with Penalties.
Lose the turnover battle.

Can't believe they weren't awake to the fake punt there. It was a classic situation for it and they were never going to return the punt anyway.

The niners were, they played it defensively... just that one idiot corner **** up the assignment and just ran

Mind you im glad he did, he had to do that so we could get Beave leaving the punt team out there to force the Niners to take a time out and instead he himself taking a delay of game
What a sequence, hang it in the Louvre

One of the most tedious aspects of the sport - the last 3 or 4 minutes must have taken about 30 minutes... but boy was it worth it. What the hell was Dak thinking there? Probably had enough time to try 2 hail Mary's. Maybe he didn't have confidence in his arm?

No. 100% they got greedy/ cheeky.
They thought they would pinch 10yds and have a Herbert, 1 play, gotta have it moment, from 20yds out.
Then forget the ref has to touch the ball. MORONS!
That said, that wasnt the dumbest play of the game.
Gregory's hold on 3rd and long when we are about to have 5mins to drive - to go with his 3 neutral zone infractions.
Odigzuwa (spellings), illegal hands to the face - hit the damn helmet off. Again, costing us a short field in the 4th.
Any number of 3rd down penalties.
2 of our 3 biggest plays were brought back due to holding - good mate Connor Williams the prime suspect.
Daks INT comes off the back of repeated penalties, because the penalty forces him to pass.

If you go back, I mention penalties nearly every wk - that and Gregs leg, which wasnt an issue this wk. We are the worst in the comp, or near to it for discipline. Both sides of the ball. We didnt deserve to win. If you make that many dumb errors you deserve to lose. Horrible horrible effort in a playoff game.

TBH, Im a little sad that the loss will weigh heaviest on Daks record, coz very little of today was on him. Yep he missed some passes, but Dak will always miss a few, but when your entire supporting cast are making dumb errors, its just too hard. I reckon I can name nearly ever starter, both sides of the ball, and put a mistake on them. AWFUL!
