I missed this. How awful to see him in Broncos gear tonight.
Of course, doesn’t top seeing Mal Meninga in Titans gear last week.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Aidan Sezer apparently being shopped to the Broncos. Definitely doesn’t set the world alight but the broncos could use his experience and stability. I’d like to see him back in the NRL. Always liked him as a bloke. Even had lunch with him one day just before the 2016 Panthers final! Top bloke.

Why didn’t you draw and pass the ball earlier on a break against the Nth Qld Cowboys. You could have won us the game in the final minutes.cat wrote:Todd Carney on "you cant ask that " on ABC

Interview with Luke Bateman playing with Wynnum. So pleased to see Bateo back playing footy and happy. Been a rough trot for him the past couple of years. One of the real decent blokes to come through our club.

Wow, what an honour it would be for players at local level to play with someone like Shillo.
Another one who was one of the finest people to put on a green jersey.

I feel like there were a few ex-raiders getting around in Wagga Wagga today - they just don’t know they are ex raiders yet
Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
Dunno if you guys saw, but Blake Austin is being shopped around; seems like no-one wants him. Warrington's expensive spending forays recently haven't really paid off: Austin and Widdop have never really looked convincing except in the odd game. Neither have impressed English fans.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Former Raider Ata Hingano signs with Salford
Salford Red Devils are set to sign Tongan international half-back Ata Hingano from Queensland Cup side Mackay Cutters. The Cutters confirmed early on Tuesday morning that they had agreed to release the former Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors playmaker to enable him to take up a deal with the Red Devils.

Former Canberra Raiders forward Joel Thompson calls time on rugby league career
Joel Thompson, is set to retire despite having a year left on his contract. Thompson moved to England this season on a two-year deal with St Helens. But the 32-year-old has told the Saints that his body is starting to let him down and he has personal matters back home to attend to at the end of this season.
