Passports take 4 days
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Re: 2016 Auckland Nines
Is he saying there's about 9 seconds worth of stuff to do in Auckland?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

You would have to say us and Cowboys have the best two groups, although Sharks could be a serious threat again

Mal Meninga says Auckland Nines now huge part of rugby league calendar
THE Auckland Nines has been a roaring success in its first two years and now the third edition is taking shape, with the release of the draw on Wednesday morning. "The last two winners — the Cowboys and the Rabbitohs — have also had success in the NRL competition,” Meninga said. “So I think everyone’s starting to realise it’s a big part of the rugby league calendar.”

The biggest stories set to play out at 2016 Auckland Nines
THE draw for the 2016 Auckland Nines has created plenty of potential storylines for the tournament, including a standout “group of death”.
Mal Meninga did the hosts no favours when he drew them with the Bulldogs, Sea Eagles and Broncos in the ‘Hunua’ pool, which Andrew McFadden admitted would be extremely tough.
The Titans will once again be reminded of the dismal recruiting period they’ve just been through when they face the Raiders with Aidan Sezer wearing green for the first time.

Auckland Nines pool preview: Piha
CANBERRA RAIDERS
Past tournaments: 2014 – pool stage; 2015 – pool stage
Player to watch: Adam Clydsdale – Played four games for the Knights in the Nines earlier this year and came up with the eighth-most tackles tournament-wide (32). Proving defence is as important in the game as attack, Clydsdale will prove a rock for the Raiders.
Predicted pool finish: 4th

LOL I know we're not going to try but are we actually going to do worse than the Titans.

New Zealand Warriors Shaun Johnson rated good chance for NRL Nines
Shaun Johnson is rated a good chance to get his wish of playing in the NRL Auckland Nines, but Warriors coach Andrew McFadden says the star halfback will be selected only if fully fit.
"He's certainly tracking very nicely at the moment," McFadden said. "He's almost ahead of schedule, but we'll wait and see."

Top 10 new faces for the Auckland Nines
Elliott Whitehead (Raiders)
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has shown a penchant for keeping his best players in cotton wool at Nines time but it would be a travesty to hold Elliott Whitehead back from making his Canberra debut in Auckland. One of Catalans' top try-scorers in 2015 and also figuring highly in try assists, Whitehead is a multi-faceted back-rower with equal measures of skill and toughness. The 26-year-old originally from Bradford scored two tries in England's Third Test win over New Zealand, the first of which was a clever pick-up of a Matty Smith grubber kick while his second was a powerful charge from close range. Let him play Ricky!
