Mitch Barnett's contract found!

Re: Mitch Barnett's contract up in the air
Might have been mentioned earlier, but shouldn't his manager have made sure it was lodged on behalf of his client months ago?
Seems negligent of the manager also

Re: Mitch Barnett's contract up in the air
So do I have this right? From what people are saying:
Barnett signed a three year deal with the Raiders starting at the beginning of 2015. Now he's being poached the NRL are saying there's no registered contract for him, yet they allowed him to play for the Raiders in 2015 under that contract? So he played in the NRL unregistered?!

No, he was upgraded 6 months ago.
Why that contract wasn't lodged and whose job it was is something of a mystery.

That's what i think the club should be making a small statement on.Shadow Boxer wrote: Why that contract wasn't lodged and whose job it was is something of a mystery.
They obviously feel strongly about this being a valid contract and have already put the court fear out there, so i dont care about the specifics of the contract
but i would like to know who is responsible for lodging the contracts and why it wasnt done.

Re: Mitch Barnett's contract up in the air
How do you manage that?"He is currently in his home-town of Wingham on the mid-north coast of NSW recovering from a thumb injury sustained throwing a football in the off-season."

Re: Mitch Barnett's contract up in the air
So was Barnett's manager banking on the Raiders actually losing the contract? As opposed to it not being lodged?
They would be known they'd signed one.

Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.
