2016 Fans' Choice Player of the Year

The Fans' Choice Player of the Year has been awarded since 2004 with an impressive roll call of winners, including Ruben Wiki, Alan Tongue, Terry Campese, Shaun Fensom and Jarrod Croker. In 2015, England hooker Josh Hodgson took out the award in his first year with the club and in the NRL. An individual trophy, sponsored by The Greenhouse, is presented to the winning player at season's end.

We have built a great tradition with this award at The GH, and you can be part of it!

Who will be the winner in 2016? It is you who will decide!

In the Fans' Choice Player of the Year, you can register your votes here for the top performed Raiders player, on a 3-2-1 basis. The rules are you can only allocate 6 points or less each round, and can split them any way you like, but no "half" points are permitted and no player can be awarded more than 3 points.

So, you can give the best player 3 points, the second best 2 and the third best 1, in the traditional way. Or you can give two players 3 points each. Or you can give 3 players 2 points each etc. No half points are permitted.

At sometime after Tuesday each week, all the points awarded by everyone to each player each round will be aggregated and then the top three players will be awarded 3, 2, 1 points.

Only votes made by Raiders fans in this thread on The Greenhouse will count.

In this thread, feel free to speculate on who will be the player of the round prior to the match.

But 3-2-1 votes can only be made AFTER completion of the match in this thread.

Wighton and even J.Croker get mentions, massive shift in the 2nd half there! Lee had no time but did awesome, the forwards were great when they could hold the ball.

2 - Papa - Finally starting to come into his own
1 - Hodgo - one miss tackle aside he was awesome. That last kick was insane.

Vaughan was also outstanding and Baptiste was also good. I reckon Rapana, Sia and Whitehead also deserve credit over the 80 for tough performances, even with some poor errors in there.

This is a tough one tbh because it's good play and one huge clutch game winning moment versus being the overall best. Gotta go with overall best I think

Turned the game around. I haven't seen many better front row stints than his first one. He's a **** top echelon prop. Love him.

How was that hit up in the second half where he ran for 30-40 metres. He and Lima are the best props at the moment.

Hodgson stepping back in the 40 and smoking it past the corner post... Get **** that we have this guy as our hooker, it's got to be a dream, Absolute class. Even though he had to play in the halves for 40+ each game, it's been 32-35 degrees, bodes well for fitness and turning into an 80 minute hooker.
In saying that baptiste hasn't done much wrong playing bigger stints two weeks straight and it seems like we are fine running a three forward and one hooker bench.
Lima and Vaughan got us back in by running straight and giving it to their pack, absolutely huge by both of them. Lima is so far this years Soliola for us.
Croker and papalii and going to have an absolute field day outside Sezer as the season goes on.
Jack at the back is brilliant and he gets better with every game. He is a machine too.

Splitting them up for points is very hard.

2 - Hodgson: 40/20 really brought us home, really good ball supply all day too
2 - Papalii: Who needs an explanation, recapturing that great form that had the NRL talking about him
1 - Lima: Surprise packet in the best possible way, runs the ball bloody hard
1 - Vaughan: One of our best, consistently bent the line and made several good tackles
