Boyd might’ve injured his hamstring n Tapine is limping.......
Same team that won tonight n maybe Knight to replace Boyd and hopefully Tapine is good.

The Raiders are like that ex that you still love but if you spend too much time together you get reminded of why it doesn't work.

Just thinking of how we lost the first 3, and especially game 1 makes me mad.
Anyway, if the boys show up (50/50) we can put a big score on them. Happy for the side to stick with their defensive mentality because against the Tits we can score a lot of points.

The reason behind Siliva Havili's desire to stay with Canberra Raiders
Siliva Havili has "a lot more left in the tank for NRL footy" and he has revealed the driving force behind his desire to earn a new contract with the Canberra Raiders.
"[Mausia] is keeping me settled and keeping me focused on what I need to do, especially with the position I’m in with the one-year contract, she gives me the extra drive so that’s always good," Havili said. "[A contract extension is] the goal, that’s another goal. I know I’ve got a lot more left in the tank for NRL footy and I want to let the footy do the talking and everything will play out by itself.

Josh Papalii living in a Canberra Raiders state of mind
Josh Papalii’s resurgence has seen the Canberra Raiders star’s name thrown back into the mix for State of Origin selection but the man himself is refusing to let a maroon jersey clog up his radar.
The boys are pretty excited with the win. Our biggest focus is our next game and the preparation for the next game starts now," Papalii said. "The boys really dug down deep for each other and hopefully we can take it into next week. It was definitely a happy moment for myself [to start and win] but we’ve still got a long way to go and we’ve still got one more game [coming up].

Yeah I’m really concerned we are going to lose Havilii. Havilii will see the writing on the wall with Hodgson coming back and Stuart’s desire to play a halve at 14. Manly, Penrith and Brisbane will be circling very soon if not alrwdy

He's only picking a half at 14 because he doesn't want to pick Garvey. Havili is definitely at 14 when hodgo comes back.LastRaider wrote:Yeah I’m really concerned we are going to lose Havilii. Re: 2018 Rd 9 V Titans: Teams and Previews
How would you bring Hodgo back Zim? Would you start him or go via Mounties to gain some match fitness or as No.14? Havili is sure in good form and I would expect Hodgo to be a bit tentative in his first match back. About Round 16 we are going to have 2 International No9s on the books.
Other than for injury I don't expect Sticky to make any changes for the Titans match.

Canberra Raiders forward Joe Tapine relishing the grind
The Canberra Raiders are in a holding pattern as they look to lock in a stack of high-profile stars but they can rest easy knowing Joe Tapine isn't going anywhere.
"Joey was good. He is still only young and playing him in the middle to get the foundation and a bit of a platform into his game to understand the intensity and the speed of NRL was always the plan," Stuart said. "Now he has moved back to the edge he is really finding what it’s like to play NRL for 80 minutes of footy and he is really doing a good job for us."

Love the way Tapine is playing atm. I thought he got a little carried away with his emotion/aggression last year but he is totally in control this year. Lolo not playing for the Kiwis last year turned out great.

I hope we have a plan in place to pay Tapine what he will deserve when his contract is up next year. He is becoming the most important forward in the team.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

PJ, just being logical. Stuart is in favor of Hingano. He gave him a 2 year contract to come over from the warriors and Hingano came over probably on the promise to play 14. Havilii has been a great pick up for us and trust me I want him at 14, however there is many clubs looking for a utility player like Havilii at the moment, the clubs above are looking heavily for a hooker and the way Havilii keeps playing, the clubs will come with the promise of FG and he will go.-PJ- wrote:Where do you come up with all this ?LastRaider wrote: ↑April 29, 2018, 9:25 pm Yeah I’m really concerned we are going to lose Havilii. Re: 2018 Rd 9 V Titans: Teams and Previews
Hingano is a half. If Stuart sees him as a part of our team moving forward he'll be playing #6 after he drop punts Brake back to Sydney. And I wouldn't pigeon hole Havili as a utility. He plays hooker and has filled in as lock for limited minutes. Maybe Ricky has been pleasantly surprised with what Havili has been doing for 8weeks(I am) and he's preparing to extend him. Either way when Hodgo returns in 8 weeks someone is going to Mounties.LastRaider wrote: ↑April 30, 2018, 8:21 pmPJ, just being logical. Stuart is in favor of Hingano. Hahaha I can’t believe what I’m reading here! Despite all his flaws as coach, there’s no WAY Stuart will pick Hingano over Havili in the 14 once Hodgo gets back
Make no mistake about it, once Hodgo is back and firing on all cylinders again, Havili will take his rightful place on the bench, coming on in the final 10 minutes when Hodgo gets moved to lock
