Re: On this day
Arghh yes the day our 1993 premiership went down the toilet.
1993 was the one that got away.
It was arguably Rickys best season. He ruled the game.
Dally M, Rothmans.
If there had of been a Golden Boot awarded he would have won that as well.

Re: On this day
With the glorious weather in Canberra yesterday it reminded me of the equally glorious afternoon on 22 August 2010 when the Raiders beat the Dragons 32 - 16.
Re: On this day
That was an enjoyable watch. Just watching those highlights - you see all the things the current side aren’t doing in attack in 2021.
Shape both sides of the ruck, bodies in motion, offloads and players backing up, tactical kicks. Question needs to be asked, has Rick coached all attacking flair out of the current squad???

Cheers - thought I was going mad as I was sure I had posted haha - then I got worried I’d accidentally asked about an ex player that turned out to be a axe murderer or somethinggreeneyed wrote: ↑August 28, 2021, 9:26 pm Have responded in The Viking Vault: https://thegh.com.au/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 7#p1828197

This is the game I wore the earpiece at a mates wedding. I’ll have to send him a msg. It’s his 30th wedding anniversary.

Re: On this day
Watched this match. Wests were leading at one point in time (much like our finals campaign and season to date), but we were stronger. What I remember the most is Brett Mullins playing on the wing for a short period of time and the pace that he showed.
Loved also reading about the Norths game in the link above - seems like yesterday. That was so good about our team back then - we could lay on a try from our 20 m zone with a few passes. Our defence was not that good that year but attack was great.
