Dally M to be judged by whichever player scores the most Daily Telegraph Supercoach points.

Seems to be some outcry: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-pr ... 48bab90189

Who on earth decided Sam Thaiday was a qualified judge of the Dally M Award?
Daine Laurie was actually very good. He kind of singlehandedly kept the Tigers in it for 50 minutes. I don't reckon that was a charity loser point - name me a better Roosters player?

The general consensus seems to be that Luke Keary was better.

Chad Townsend was probably Sharks best player assisting for both their tries. But his goal kicking was diabolical. I think Raiders probably did have the best three players on the field.

Not agreeing with Ikin’s choices however.

Seems he should have been man of the match when you look at his stats.

I thought if any Sharks player deserved points it was Kennedy. Looked dangerous just about every time he touched the ball.

Fair point. Kennedy was impressive and on reflection the player who scared me most. Crazy that Dugan earns over $800k for the little he brings to his team.

It was the dream scenario for a Nikorima type half- a plethora of tired forwards to run at for not just the end of one half, but a whole 30 mins or so of the 2nd half too (assuming they were fresh-ish for the first 10 2nd half).

Easy to look good running around Havilii who cant physically match his speed and a guy who broken ribs.
But you can only play who is in front of you, and i think RTS and Niko deserved top billing in that game

Some judges have this stupid idea in their head that the losing team should get a point. It's dumb, the 3,2,1 is supposed to go to the three best players but that rarely happens because of this train of thought.

I thought Sutton was our best, but Hodgson being a "big name" is always going to get noticed more.

Hodgson was one of our best too. What we've come to expect from the votes this year is something crazy thrown in but those actually made sense.

Yeah, that Melbourne Storm recruiting machine strikes again.

It was interesting to see that game and the two high prized forwards
And granted one is an edge player so it’s as simple as im about to make it out to be but one of them was happy to let the game come and go without really seemingly injecting themselves in it to try and turn the tide
The other was trying to drag his team kicking and screaming forward

I just found that very striking when watching it

Yeah I agree. Though we did absolute smash Fifita a number of times. He might have been bashed out of the game by the time the last 20mins came around. Other sides would have noticed that.

I think we clearly planned to devote a lot of energy towards Fifita. Young and a number of our guys went right out their way at different stages of the game to make a point to him - Tino not so much.
