Thank God the stupid forward rotation rubbish has been canned..
Keep the same team unless form / injury or suspension warrants a change...

Might have been asked already, but how is Hudson Young going in reserves? He became a bit of a liability the first half of the season but has a lot of potential to be something special.

He played well last weekend. Good to see Harley Smith-Shields named in NSW Cup this week, previously expected to return Rd 20-22.

Tapine is going to have to do more to keep his place in the squad now that James is back from suspension. I was underwhelmed by his performance against the Broncos.

He’s been going great since moving back to the edge, like he was playing great in A-Grade before being shifted off the edge.

Sia was good the last couple of weeks imp. I imagine James and he are competing for the straight running veteran spot. Happy enough to see either in action at this stage of the season. James needs a bit more solid footy now, considering the stage of his comeback.

Guler found another gear last week so I'd be reluctant to drop him now, just maybe seeing results from him.
Glad to be proved wrong on this one. He will make a return, I'm just happy that we've moved on from the rotation policy.

Only thing for me is, I'm not convinced about Sutton at lock. I thought he was average against Brisbane. I'd like to see Hodgson or Starling have a crack there later in the game (a la Cam Mcinnes). Starling can tackle hard so I think he's capable of it

Doubt it. Probably being used as 18th man to give him a sniff and more encouragement.

If he's 18th man he can't be named in NSW cup.

Tapine is going alright and has more gears…
Young played well on the weekend and I potentially see him replacing an injured or suspended player..

And none of that touches what he did in the middle last year.

And he’s nowhere near as good as the two incumbents as an edge forward.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

 All reports are he's going like a busted **** in reggies on the edge! Kai O'Donnell comfortably out playing him.

I dont think Sutton should be playing lock either. He should be starting in the middle with Papa or playing his role being a **** stud off the bench replacing papa

KOD definitely outplayed him in that match, scoring two tries from close range as well.

Hudson was mainly running straight at two or three guys whenever he took the ball up, enduring plenty of niggle in the process, and was regularly seen down on his haunches sucking in big ones. I don't think there was a single attempt to run into a gap.

Not sure how he went against Blacktown as I didn't watch.

He had a good game on the weekend. Got through plenty of work both sides of the ball. Had a try and a try assist to go with it.

I think it may had had something to do with a child on Tapine’s extended family, not really something worth joking about.

Rejuvenated Canberra Raiders eye run to the NRL finals

They've ticked off one box and now the Canberra Raiders are confident they can cover another and sneak back into the NRL's top eight.

"We've got a pretty good draw coming up with us and we've targeted obviously the next few games to ... try and sneak back into the top eight and be in contention for that in the run home to finals," Corey Harawira-Naera said.

Hetherington's hit did not deserve a send off says Raiders second rower Harawira-Naera

Despite being on the receiving end of a head-high tackle placed on report, Canberra Raiders second rower Corey Harawira-Naera says it did not deserve a send off.

"He gave me a bit of a spray when I was on the ground so I wasn't happy. I feel for him, I don't think he deserved it, I think maybe 10 minutes, if that and it was an accident but after he sprayed me I was a bit off him," he said with a grin.
