It's a hollow feeling not being in the play offs this year.

Finals Red. You're as Aussie as they come. Play-offs are American.

Let’s be honest though. We have barely played any football this season deserving of being a part of the comp’s pointy end, we’d be absolute roadkill

Nothing hollow about it for me
We got exactly what we deserved. Sport is a meritocracy, we were weighed, measured and found wanting.

You are quite right gergreg. I stand corrected. For me, it's a hollow feeling not being in the finals this year.

When we were in our mid year slump I had resigned myself to not making the finals and said so. Then we started to get close and as a fan I am invested in the Raiders, particularly as the younger players got an opportunity. The defensive performance in the win against the Eels was a win to savor but we could not reproduce that intensity in subsequent matches. Onward to 2022, but for me, without the same confidence I approached 2021. Lots of work to be done to make the Raiders consistently competitive under the new rules.

Yeah was thinking the other day we didn't put a team to the sword all year. Shows how bad our attack really is, even in 09/11/13 you'd still be able to find a game or 2 where we dominated the opposition.

No in the end we only had 3 wins against top 8 sides. They were probably our best performances.

The Titans at Kogarah I thought we put in a really solid performance, Manly at Manly although of course we know how they go without Turbo and DCE and a really tough grinding win against Parra where arguably we could have been denied at the death.

We lost at least once to all top 8 sides.

The last Eels game our defence was first class, that was the only one that sticks out

Weirdly, I wonder if our loss to the Storm a few weeks ago was our best performance.

Against what ensuing games showed to be a woeful Parramatta attack, led by none other than our next recruitment target Dylan Brown

for all the fanfare Royston only played 15 games?
Gee he was quick, I remember seeing him play once where he scored from 20m out just went whoosh to the corner from a standing start

The Canberra Raiders received a lovely letter from the CEO of Currumbin Beach SLSC, Michael Sullivan. Ricky Stuart’s Raiders used the facility for recovery, meals and functions.

“Our staff had nothing but praise for the group and the respectful and courteous manner in which they conducted themselves each day,” Sullivan wrote. “Your patronage and support will go a long way to helping us put essential life saving equipment on the beach this upcoming season and being able to provide a well-resourced and safe aquatic environment for our beach patrons in the coming months.”
