Would be cool if the WSS games are a double header. I'd actually like more double headers throughout the season. Try and get the crowds back <fingers crossed>

Has Sticky been told. Now that a television contract has been signed the NRL will want 'NAME' players on the team roster. Given the heat early in the season, perhaps four quarter football and additional interchanges?

Good news. Probably also means a professional camera crew and commentators.

At present, most of the time you see trial footage it looks pretty amateurish in the way it's shot.

They can make us play five hundred trials, Sticky will still just name the Fleg and NSW Cup players to play in them.

To be fair we do sometimes look like our plans are the same vintage as car cassette players.

Canberra Raiders set to play 2022 trial matches against Roosters and Tigers

The Canberra Times is reporting the Raiders are scheduled to play a trial against the Roosters at Western Sydney Stadium on February 18, in a double header, with Manly facing the Tigers in the second game. The Raiders then play the Tigers on the Central Coast on February 25, in another double header, with the Roosters playing the Sea Eagles. The Raiders are expected to run an extended fringe squad in the first trial, and feature the top 17 in the second.

Both at regular NRL venues. What about playing trials in the bush? It’s all back to front.

If they are going to do full TV broadcasts they are going to have them at established grounds. It would be very difficult to send tv crews all over the bush. It obviously happens for the games at Wagga, Dubbo, Tamworth etc but they don’t play them all on the one weekend.

The double headers are also set up for the broadcasters.

Canberra Raiders set to meet Roosters and Sea Eagles in 2022 trials

The Raiders are now set to face the Sydney Roosters and the Manly Sea Eagles in their 2022 pre-season trials. Originally they were due to play Wests Tigers and the Roosters, but that's been changed with the games still at Western Sydney Stadium and Central Coast Stadium on February 18 and 25 respectively. They will be broadcast on Fox.

Canberra Raiders to meet Roosters and Sea Eagles in trials

The Canberra Raiders will play trial matches against the Sydney Roosters and Manly Sea Eagles in 2022, as part of two doubleheaders across two weekends.

The Raiders were originally slated to host a trial match in Moruya in 2022, but this has been postponed due to the NRL run trial match program. The Raiders will look to host a trial fixture on the South Coast in 2023 as part of their commitment to the region.
