There was **** all in that first Rapana tackle. It was good cover defence, he had his dead down, drove in hard and both arms were out to tackle Fifita around the waist. The fact Fifita was knocked around a bit doesn't make it a reckless tackle. The commentary around it based on limited footage was ridiculous.

The second tackle was a bit stupid though. Just too much enthusiasm and no real attempt to tackle. He could be in trouble for that and could get a week or two IMO.

Hopefully not.

Rapana set himself for that second shoulder charge so could be in a bit of trouble for that one too. First one looked worse.

If they *are* handing out suspensions in All Stars games then he'd probably get charged for that one. Hopefully a minor one he can plead guilty and take the downgrade to a fine.

Canberra Raiders winger Jordan Rapana faces two-game ban for NRL All Stars shoulder charge

Canberra Raiders winger Jordan Rapana has received a grade one shoulder charge for the hit on Indigenous All Stars forward David Fifita in the 13th minute of the game. There was no charge for a second reported tackle. He'll miss two games for the shoulder charge regardless of how he pleads. If he fights the charge and loses he'll have 80 carryover points instead of 10.

Rapana's also facing a suspension for an off-season drink-driving charge, which means he could miss the opening three rounds of the Green Machine's 2022 season.

Timoko is a certainty, or should be at least. Valemei the last player to come in, after Kris for mine.

1. CNK 2.Cotric 3. Croker 4. Timoko 5. Savage. Kris in for Croker if Croker is unfit. Will be looking forward to seeing how Brad Morkos goes in the trials though.

Hopoate should be given an opportunity before Valemei as well imo. And depending on if the HSS injury affects the development players so should Anderson.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Where does Botman fit in that priority you reckon? Surely he’s getting a run over a couple of those you mentioned?

Is there a reason our two trial games don’t count in his suspension?

If there are 1 million protesters in Canberra you'd think they could count 2 trial games

Yep, that's my list too.

Semi, Anderson, Hoppa and whoever misses out between Kris and Croker on the waiting list.

I think Ricky has a higher opinion of Semi than most on here. Don’t be surprised to see him feature more than some might think.

Kris first or Morkos as a smoky should a centre be needed.

If we need another winger yeah Hoppa was going decently in reggies before he did his knee (?) or something last season.

But we should get a look at both Semi and Hoppa in trials to see if either looks any good.

Nah. Well down the list. Questionable work ethic.

I'd love to see a single image of that first Rapana hit that looks like a genuine shoulder charge.

Was unlucky to get a grade 1, but at least the MRC didn't go overboard like the stupid commentators.

As much as I like Valemei, he can’t be second or third choice at this stage. A Winger needs to play by the “first, do no harm” philosophy. Simply put, they don’t have to win you a game, but they can’t lose you one. He is far too unreliable at this stage of his career (of course, I hope he improves and becomes an NRL level winger). I would have him behind Cotric, Rapana, Savage, Hopoate, Anderson and even Asomua.
