Suspect Manly are going to get hammered by the referees on off side and ruck infringements tonight. Or they should.

Bit wet.

Looks like shoulder charges are back tonight with no penaltys theres been atleast 3 by manly where they put in more effort tucking their arm in then trying to wrap them around.

Was a clever dive from foran, no chance of even getting to the ball, but took the dive as soon as he got hit

Clearly Manly is on the 'tip sheet' that doesn't exist anymore.

2022 NRL Round 5: Teams and Game Day

Post by BJ »

Did you see the commentators praising the amazingly fast play the ball of the Manly backrower? I thought it looked like a dodgy play the ball live so I rewound.

Easy to play the ball fast when you have one hand on the ground and you simply throw yourself over the ball before the dummy half has even touched the ball. Image

Interesting that Manly committed zero Ruck infringements last week, yet have committed 5 ruck infringements in half a game today.

Jurbo has been called on everything this game. Good to see it.
Should have been someone in the bin for Manly though. Too many infringements.

There is absolutely no way Olakau'atu cleanly grounded that ball.

Manly milking penalties and continuing their nonsense in the ruck all game. No sin bins.

Klein has had an absolute shocker of a game.

It's more beneficial to manly to slow down the ruck, give away a penalty/6again and defend it. The best sides do it because they can defend.

NRL investigating homophobic slur by a player in Warriors’ golden-point win against Cowboys

The NRL is set to investigate after a player was caught allegedly using a homophobic slur on Friday night. The player appeared to call Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt a ‘f****t’ while he laid on the ground with an injury.

“We don’t condone any comment in this manner but on the footage provided it’s inconclusive and I struggle to see how it it could be attributed to any of our players,” Warriors CEO Cameron George said.

So rather than tell the NRL and the public they’ll do all they can to help the investigation so the player can be appropriately sanctioned, he says it’s not us? Why would a Cowboys player yell that at their own player?

Roosters ‘fume’ at Broncos star as JWH on report for ‘pedantic’ penalty

Roosters players were left fuming at Broncos prop Ryan James after Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was placed on report for a controversial leg pull in a contentious tackle. Waerea-Hargreaves was penalised for allegedly twisting James’ knee as he was standing at marker, but Roosters players accused the Brisbane forward of taking a dive to gain a penalty.

I thought it was a really good refereeing performance, the game had a really good flow.

Cowboys were pretty good but just lost it either side of half-time. Their attacking structure was really good in the first 30 - running in numbers/waves, including their second phase play. I thought it was a game that got away from them.

Bit torn in the second game, if only they could have both lost.

Bulldogs lose their Captains challenge but I thought Api pretty clearly touched the ball. A few minutes later Kikau drags a prone player across the sideline, and gets away with it. What was Payten saying last week?
