Good too see Reece Walsh getting to stay on the field there.

I don't feel so bad about our 2 losses to Cowboys now.

Cowboys doing incredibly well, credit to Payten. Especially given many said there were "no good coaches on the market"

Nicho Hynes playing halfback next to Wighton would have actually been a very lovely combination imo
I know he was probably never coming here given his love of surfing and beach life... but man... we missed a trick on that one. Hell of a signing for the Sharks

Id have to watch it again, but on initial views i didnt see the ball ever come away from Timoko's hand, as it did with Gagai

Ball never came away from his hand. It's in his hand, he has possession, it never separates and so he is deemed to have never lost possession/control
For Gagai the ball came completely out of his hands, he is deemed to have lost possession/control the moment the ball is completely free of his hands, and he needs to reestablish possession before grounding it.

That's the key difference. I dont know what is difficult to understand here.

The NRL has it completely wrong on the obstruction call, with Annesley trying to spin that one again. They have it right on the Gagai try, on the current interpretation that you have to regrip the ball if you lose grip. Under the old interpretation of separation, it’s a try… but that’s not the current interpretation. Absolutely no issue with the Timoko try under any rules.
