Well that was thoroughly enjoyable. If anyone missed it I highly recommend watching the highlights. Phins on absolute fire with those tries, what a carve up!

It is great to see him get a run in first grade. He’s 27 years old and 79kg, depth player at best and you wouldn’t want to rely on him to play anymore than 5-6 games a year.

I went to sleep before the end of the game, sounds like I should’ve kept watching.

Dolfins with 8 try’s in 25 minutes. That just over 3 minutes between try’s.

Hard to read too much into that. Watching the highlights, Parramatta looked gassed by half time. Humidity is a massive momentum killer, and this summer in SE has been the most disgustingly humid one I've ever experienced. Training for a marathon through it, I can tell you that your energy levels drop away incredibly quickly. Phins much better conditioned for it. I wonder who the genius is who scheduled a game in Darwin at this time of year. Should be July-August.

Parra will probably be easy pickings for manly next week as well. It will take a while to get over that hit out.

It's baffling that the Eels would play a Qld side in the tropical heat at all. I'm not sure it's sensible to play a contact sport in that heat and humidity at any time of year. We were similar when we played up there, we were on top for the first twenty then we were gone. Once you lose momentum in those conditions it's hard to get any ground back.

Yeah I agree - we got run down badly against Parra last time we were up there. We often go poorly in any QLD/NT games when it's hot and humid. That's why I always hate the Cowboys/Titans/Dolphins away games early in the season.

People hate the cold, too! Especially those Kingslanders.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

That they do Dubby, but that is psychological. Training in hot and humid conditions leads to a number of physiological adaptations that give an advantage over opponents that haven't trained in those conditions.

I don't deny that!

I lived in QLD for 20 years, just over 3 of them in Ayr, playing sports, and I agree that humidity is next level draining.
