I don't think there is a game I would be less confident in getting a result than Manly at Brookie atm. Especially on a 5 day turnaround 🤢

Haumole Olakau’atu and Daly Cherry-Evans face two-game bans for Shaun Lane tackle

Manly have been hit with a massive double blow with skipper Daly Cherry-Evans and backrower Haumole Olakau’atu facing two game bans. The pair were put on report for a lifting tackle on Shaun Lane which resulted in Olakau’atu being sin-binned. Both players face two weeks on the sidelines with an early guilty plea.

That’s massive for us - easily their two best players so far this year. Will be massive if we can jag these two upsets heading into the bye - would go a long way to cementing a top 8 spot.

It’s weird, the goalposts have shifted. At the start of the year, I didn’t expect us to be a top 8 side (more so due to improvement of other teams as oppose to us losing Jackie etc) but following the first few games, that’s changed.

Even with Fog out, I still think we are a chance. Fogarty has an elite kicking game but an average running and okay ball playing so we don’t actually lose that much.

Regardless, excited for this season and the ones ahead. Overall, the club is in a really good spot imo.

Hard to get excited about that

We played Penrith without Cleary and
Luai and still got pumped.

Hard to remember a player that carves the raiders up more than DCE.

Yeah let's not get cocky here, despite the suspensions and what numpties like PJ think, this is Manly, and we've found every which way to lose and make them look like world beaters the last several years.

Add in Ponga maybe...

I Have the same conversation with Eagles fan, mate of mine, every year. For some reason DCE and Turbo turn into peak Johns and Mullins Every time they play us. I swear their first girlfriends must have been Raiders fans.

People cheering that DCE and Olakuatu are out forget that we still get spanked even when teams best players are out. Lachlan **** Croker destroyed is last time from memory. Oh, and we have that little Turbo problem. He’s destroyed us every time since his very first game. He debuted against us and scored a double. We shan’t be winning this. Manly are our biggest bogey team.

It’s doesn’t matter which way you cut it Finchy - Manly aren’t as good with DCE out. Add Olakuatu to the list and it significantly improves the Raiders chances, especially with Fogarty, Rapana, Hors out. Simple as that.

Does it mean the raiders will win? Of course not. And I haven’t seen anyone claim that we are locks now either.

Oh I agree they’re good players and in theory it greatly improved our chances against them. The problem is I’ve seen this movie before and we still be spanked.

Danny Levi should no longer be at the club after the showers. Starling offers nothing. Schiller is rocks and diamonds. I don’t see anything special in Smithies. Sasagi can go tackle some tackle bags.
Turbo will score 100 points on his lonesome. Today is a dark day
